Regina is the largest steel company in Western Canada. EVRAZ<br />
Regina employs more than 1,000 people. In addition to about<br />
$30 million in company and employee contributions to the<br />
federal and provincial economy through direct taxes, EVRAZ<br />
also drives over $100 million into the local community through<br />
employee wages and benefits each year. About $600 million is<br />

scrap steel per year. The Regina steelmaking process is fed by<br />

Failure Prevention Services (FPS) designs, manufactures and<br />
distributes re-cleanable and environmentally friendly stainless<br />
steel and specialty filtration products to all sectors, including<br />
the oil and gas industry, nuclear, potash refineries and the water<br />
industry. Their products offer benefits including high flow<br />
rates, low pressure drops, a long lifespan, and the ability to<br />
work with highly corrosive applications. As well, their ultrasonic<br />
cleaning process removes all the contaminants from the<br />
filters utilizing a process that also concentrates the resulting<br />
waste materials to be disposed of. Since 1994, FPS has expanded<br />
five times and currently employs twenty staff in a facility of<br />
approximately 30,000 square feet. FPS is continuing the objective<br />
of maintaining their ISO-9001:2000 certification.<br />
