Message from the Chairman of the Board It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone to the PUP/PCC Alumni First Global Reunion. I want to thank all of you who have contributed to bring this event into fruition. To be in the company of fellow PUP and PCC alumni is honor enough. To serve as the Chairman of the Board of the newly organized Polytechnic University of the Philippines Alumni Association USA, Inc. is a greater privilege. I thank the membership of PUPAA-USA for the trust and opportunity given me to serve this organization. Our shared values of fear of God, love for humanity and democracy, collegiality, integrity and credibility, transparency and accountability, and passion for learning draw us together bring further honor and prestige to PUP and uphold the ideals for which our Alma Mater stands for. Our team’s energy and dedication are very contagious and it amazes me no end that in so short a time we have already accomplished this much: bringing us all together today, with many of you travelling thousands of miles to celebrate this momentous event. We hope this event, our first Global Reunion, is only the start of more meaningful and fruitful activities that would further strengthen our friendship and relationships within and among the graduates of PUP and PCC. As your chairman I appreciate the opportunity to serve with this talented group of individuals, even as I invite all of you to join me in working to accomplish the many projects we have lined up to benefit PUP. Message from the President I am truly honored to welcome all of you to the 1st Global Reunion of PUP Alumni Association USA (PUPAA-USA). This 3-day reunion will allow us to be re-acquainted with one another and reconnect with our Sintang Paaralan. Tonight, we will install our new set of officers and members of the board of directors, and recognize the 2016 Outstanding Alumni of our beloved alma mater, Polytechnic University of the Philippines. It is a privilege to be part of this newly formed association and I am fortunate to work with the officers and board members who are all highly successful professionals. Together, we promise to lead this organization and pledge our deep commitment to bring honor to our alma mater. The success of tonight’s celebration is a reflection of our collective efforts and dedicated service. I would like to personally encourage each one of you to get involved in all our activities and projects, serve and strengthen our relationships within the alumni group. The success of our first project, to build an Athletic Facility in the Sta. Mesa campus, depends on our joint efforts whether big or small. We need everyone’s involvement, participation and cooperation to achieve this goal. On behalf of the officers, board of directors, and members of PUPAA-USA, let me express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the alumni present tonight especially those who came all the way from the Philippines and other parts of the world. Thank you also to all our sponsors, advertisers, family members and guests who have supported us and made our first global reunion and fundraising event a rousing success.
