This National Green Export Review (NGER) report was prepared by the project’s national team of experts.<br />

Members of the national team of experts were Jimmy Rantes, Noel Kalo and Roy Pakoasongi.<br />

The NGER was undertaken through cooperation and support provided by the Department of Industry (DoI) of the<br />

Ministry of Trade, Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Ni-Vanuatu Business (MTTICNVB), and by the United Nations<br />

Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The DoI team, led by Jimmy Rantes, included Lazarus Aising,<br />

Andrew Baha, Noel Kalo, Christine Kapalu, Joe Mael, Donald Pelam, Wensie Wesley Naki, Reuben Edward Tafau<br />

and Adrina Woi.<br />

Several local business representatives hosted site visits during this project, including, Jim Batty, The Summit<br />

Estate; Rona Garae, Oils of Paradise; Nicolas Monvoisin, Elgress Agra Limited; Frederic Petit, Unelco Cofely; Ken<br />

Thode, Chiko Farms; and Sandrine Wallez, ACTIV Association. Visits were also facilitated by Sethy Lui, Vanuatu<br />

Cocoa and Coprah Export; Joseph Merib, Epi Cocoa Growers Association; Basile Malily, Vanuatu Cocoa Growers<br />

Association; PHAMA Vanuatu; as well as other producers and industry representatives.<br />

Technical support was provided by several UNCTAD staff members including Bonapas Onguglo, Officer in<br />

Charge; David Vivas Eugui, Legal Officer; and Robert Hamwey, Economics Affairs Officer, Trade, Environment,<br />

Climate Change and Sustainable Development Branch, Division on International Trade in Goods and Services,<br />

and Commodities (TED/DITC). Other TED/DITC staff members, Malick Kane, Ivonne Paredes and Lalen Lleander<br />

provided additional support.<br />
