Prayer Meeting
Prayer Meeting will be held this Wednesday evening, July 27, at 7:00 pm in Moseley
Complex. Please plan to be present as we pray, worship, and fellowship together.
Stewardship Corner
“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit
which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20). Jesus went shopping for lost souls and He
spent everything to purchase you. Your personal salvation cost the blood of God’s
own dear Son. Your response to God’s love by the returning of a faithful Tithe and
Combined Budget Offering recognizes the marvelous gift of His life, the substitutionary
sacrifice of His death, and the blessed assurance of His promised coming. How
does your participation in God’s work glorify His plans and desires for your life?
Oakwood Adventist Academy (OAA) Building Project
Please be mindful of our financial commitment to the OAA Building Project. Given
our church obligation of $3,000,000.00, the Oakwood University Church makes a
monthly payment to satisfy this commitment. Let us all support this collective
responsibility through our systematic financial support, which is in addition to our
normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering. All donations, large or small, are sincerely
appreciated. Kindly mark on your offering envelope, “OAA Building Fund.”
“Restoration 40” - Construction of Family Life Center
We are moving forward with the construction of our new Family Life Center! In
commemoration of the 40th Anniversary (2017) of the completion of the current OUC
edifice, our goal is to complete the construction of our new Family Life Center in
2017! In support of this, all are asked to reach a minimum goal of $1,000.00 per person.
This can be done through a one time gift, systematic monthly gifts, or the solicitation
of donations from family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and businesses
(in addition to your normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering). Donations
can be made via your offering envelope and labeled, “Restoration 40.”
Thank You
A special “Thank you” to my OUC Family for the many prayers that ascended in my
behalf. I am fully recovered with no signs of pneumonia. God be praised! ~ Kyna
Hinson
