Prayer Meeting
Prayer Meeting will be held this Wednesday evening, August 3, at 7:00 pm in Moseley
Complex. Please plan to be present as we pray, worship, and fellowship together.
Stewardship Corner
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul
prospers” (3 John 1:2). Jesus’ plan for abundant life now - includes spiritual, intellectual,
physical, social, financial, and talent development. It is the privilege of every
believer to learn of God’s desire for enhancing their life and then to personally experience
this reality in their daily walk with the Savior. As you worship God by bringing
your Tithe and Combined Budget gifts to Him, remember that your heavenly Father is
vitally interested in every aspect of your life, and He wants you to prosper in every
way possible.
Oakwood Adventist Academy (OAA) Building Project
Please be mindful of our financial commitment to the OAA Building Project. Given
our church obligation of $3,000,000.00, the Oakwood University Church makes a
monthly payment to satisfy this commitment. Let us all support this collective
responsibility through our systematic financial support, which is in addition to our
normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering. All donations, large or small, are sincerely
appreciated. Kindly mark on your offering envelope, “OAA Building Fund.”
“Restoration 40” - Construction of Family Life Center
In commemoration of the 40th Anniversary (2017) of the completion of the current
OUC edifice, our goal is to complete the construction of our new Family Life Center
in 2017! In support of this, all are asked to reach a minimum goal of $1,000.00 per
person. This can be done through a one time gift, systematic monthly gifts, or the
solicitation of donations from family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and
businesses (in addition to your normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering). Donations
can be made via your offering envelope and labeled, “Restoration 40.”
Groundbreaking Ceremony - Family Life Center
It is with great excitement that we announce the Groundbreaking Ceremony for our
new OUC Family Life Center on Sunday, September 4, at 2:00 pm at our construction
site (just adjacent to the OUC)! Please be in attendance for this historic occasion!
Men’s Ministries Department
Community Town Hall Meeting
on interaction with law enforcement, youth responses to law enforcement, and the
church’s role with social justice. Please plan to be present for this most important program,
and kindly invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us.
Community Service - Tabitha’s Corner
“Tabitha’s Corner” of our Community Service Ministry is soliciting beds, dresser chests,
