energy. I would love to design clothes and
jewelry and even shoes. It?s about doing things
different. I always switch things up. It?s not that
I have a specific style, it?s just that I have style?,
says Mr. Winslow. Artists have the ability to set
trends and allow fans to follow suit. We can
recall Michael Jackson, who happens to be my
favorite artist, being able to set trends. The
glove, sequins jacket, his dance or
choreography has set as a brand. I have a
room dedicated to Michael Jackson. That?s how
much his music, his style, his skill, his flare has
influenced me. It only takes one performance
and no one ever forgets a brand. Mr. Winslow,
you have a look and style all on your own. The
eye catching trumpet and the stylish rings and
bracelets or bangles makes for a signature
look. The ?red bell? trumpet is officially Dontae
Winslow?s trademark. What is the story behind
the beautifully styled trumpet? ?Growing up in
Baltimore, I never dreamed in a million years
that I would design my own trumpet. Adams
of Holland, of the Netherlands, made my
special edition design which is the Dontae
Winslow A6. The trumpet I perform with is
specific to my brand. It has a leather strap and
the valves are sometimes purple or red. The
trumpet has a vintage quality look to it. It
looks like a burnt metal yet on purpose. My
family?s name is engraved and ?Trust God?.
The trumpet is available to the public to buy. It
comes in nickel or brushed 24k?. This custom
made instrument indeed makes playing the
trumpet such a sleek look. There are other
artists who perform with the trumpet
designed by Mr. Winslow. Check out Jimmy
King of Bruno Mars, making awesome tunes. I
would love to place the trumpet in a glass case
for my music room. For me it would be for
show oppose to playing, especially since I have
yet to learn to play the trumpet. Style and
fashion and trends are set on a regular basis.
We see color and are drawn to it. We see
fashion and style and we can?t help but feel
the need to want or purchase what appeals to
our taste. But when you have the ability to set
trends and spend less money doing so, this
makes for an ideal fashion statement. Dontae
Winslow?s stylist, ?Chic Shic? has an eye for
fashion. Take a glance at all the different looks
of Mr. Winslow. Keep in mind as he
mentioned, ?It?s not that I have a specific style,
it?s just that I have style?. That is such a true
statement Mr. Winslow, and we definitely like
what we see! Dontae Winslow has many
projects being released soon. The projects
include more music by the ?Winslow Dynasty?,
a reality show with Justin Timberlake which
was filmed live in Las Vegas and an
autobiography. Mr. Winslow?s biography will
be a must read for anyone needing or wanting
to be inspired. Dontae will be referencing his
abuse in adolescent years, losing his mom to
HIV at a young age, and overcoming obstacles
in life, as well as in the music industry. Dontae
is living proof that life is most certainly what
you make it. Things do have the ability to fall
into place. Mr. Winslow thanks for sharing
