A PLACE TO CALL HOME
This is a great place to raise a family. There are many opportunities to find people of similar
interests to be part of your community of friends and neighbors. Our region is known for its
excellent schools, both public and private. They offer a wide range of learning experiences
not only for children but also for adults. We’re proud of our private and public libraries. They
are part of an exchange program that can provide titles you may not find on their shelves.
Beyond books and DVDs, the libraries offer a wide range of classes, book clubs and
programs — as well as extensive digital resources.
In addition, when you need it, you will find excellent medical care at local health facilities
and hospitals. Our diverse community offers places of worship for people of many different
beliefs and denominations. Public parks have tennis courts, volleyball sand lots, basketball
courts, baseball diamonds, grassy fields for football or soccer as well as playgrounds for
children big and small. The community park districts offer classes and field trips, gyms and
exercise equipment. These resources provide a healthy environment for a happy, fulfilled life.
