Businesses at any stage know the value of retaining a
competitive edge. Many programs are in place to help
businesses thrive, including workforce hiring and training,
financial incentives, mentoring and coaching, and a
supportive network. In addition, the WSCCI offers press
releases, e-blasts, regional networking, visibility and business
counseling to its members. Many of the communities that
make up the West Suburban Chamber also offer their own
business associations or local chambers of commerce. The
Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, Countryside Business
Association (CBA), La Grange Business Association (LGBA),
La Grange Park Chamber of Commerce and Western Springs
Business Association (WSBA) each help address local issues
impacting business, while offering promotional activities and
incentives for their respective business members.
Financial and tax incentives
Businesses looking to expand or put down roots here will
find several financial incentives in place. For example, both
Hodgkins and McCook employ the Enterprise Zone Program.
It encourages economic growth through sales and utility
tax exemptions, tax credits (investment tax credit; jobs tax
credit; income tax deductions; interest deductions; contribution
deductions) and business financing through the Illinois
Development Finance Authority and the Department of
Commerce and Community Affairs.

county and state levels, and will benefit from the tax increment
financing (TIF) redevelopment districts found in communities
such as Countryside, Hodgkins, Brookfield and Willow Springs.
