Prayer Meeting
Prayer Meeting will be held this Wednesday evening, August 10, at 7:00 pm in Moseley
Complex. Please plan to be present as we pray, worship, and fellowship together.
Stewardship Corner
“Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (john 8:36). True
freedom comes by knowing Jesus and experiencing His plan for your personal life.
He declares that one of the purposes of the gospel is to liberate captives. How do
Christians experience this freedom? God’s love gives believers freedom from the
guilt of their past and assurance of forgiveness for their sins. The Holy Spirit’s transformation
gives victory over the controlling evil of Satan’s power and enables believers
to serve others in Christ’s name. The soon return of our Savior promises freedom,
even from the presence of sin, as we live eternally in Jesus’ kingdom. Let us freely
share our all with Him, reveling in the freedom He has given us in Christ.
Oakwood Adventist Academy (OAA) Building Project
Please be mindful of our financial commitment to the OAA Building Project. Given
our church obligation of $3,000,000.00, the Oakwood University Church makes a
monthly payment to satisfy this commitment. Let us all support this collective
responsibility through our systematic financial support, which is in addition to our
normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering. All donations, large or small, are sincerely
appreciated. Kindly mark on your offering envelope, “OAA Building Fund.”
“Restoration 40” - Construction of Family Life Center
In commemoration of the 40th Anniversary (2017) of the completion of the current
OUC edifice, our goal is to complete the construction of our new Family Life Center
in 2017! In support of this, all are asked to reach a minimum goal of $1,000.00 per
person. This can be done through a one time gift, systematic monthly gifts, or the
solicitation of donations from family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and
businesses (in addition to your normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering). Donations
can be made via your offering envelope and labeled, “Restoration 40.”
Ground Breaking Ceremony - Family Life Center
It is with great excitement that we announce the Ground Breaking Ceremony for our
Thank You
Dear OUC Family: We want to extend our sincere appreciation for the love and support you
have shown to our family for the past four years. During our tenure at the OUC, you
worked diligently to open your homes for visits and lunch invitations, encouraged the development
of our God-given gifts, and provided much needed words of encouragement. The
impact that you have made on our ministry will never be forgotten. We are also overwhelmed
by the cards and gifts that you shared during our farewell reception. Words cannot
express our gratitude! Please know that although we are separated by physical distance,
our hearts and prayers will always be with you. God’s blessings! ~ Dr. Toussaint and
