The Sara<strong>to</strong>ga &<br />
North Creek Railway<br />
is a great option for<br />
all ages, linking <strong>the</strong> cultural attractions of Sara<strong>to</strong>ga Springs with<br />
<strong>the</strong> scenic natural beauty of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Adirondacks</strong>. In 2015, <strong>the</strong> Sara<strong>to</strong>ga<br />
& North Creek Railway collaborated with <strong>the</strong> <strong>First</strong> <strong>Wilderness</strong><br />
<strong>Heritage</strong> <strong>Corridor</strong> <strong>to</strong> provide its passengers with a new stepon-guide/interpreter<br />
on its spring-fall excursion trains. This guide<br />
continues <strong>to</strong> provide riders with current local information on <strong>to</strong>wn<br />
attractions. Touted as <strong>the</strong> true “Gateway <strong>to</strong> Great Adirondack Adventure,”<br />
<strong>the</strong> Sara<strong>to</strong>ga & North Creek Railway invites passengers<br />
<strong>to</strong> explore more along its route through its new itinerary options.<br />
Ride <strong>to</strong> North Creek and spend <strong>the</strong> day exploring. Take <strong>the</strong><br />
free shuttle <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> his<strong>to</strong>ric garnet mines (summer) and prospect<br />
for chunks of <strong>the</strong> red s<strong>to</strong>ne. Hike <strong>the</strong> new <strong>to</strong>wn trails in <strong>the</strong> park,<br />
just hang yhur feet in <strong>the</strong> Hudson along <strong>the</strong> banks of <strong>the</strong> river. Let<br />
<strong>the</strong> free shuttle take you <strong>to</strong> Gore Mountain Ski Area (summer) <strong>to</strong><br />
ride <strong>the</strong> gondola or play on one of <strong>the</strong>ir amusements. Browse <strong>the</strong><br />
Main Street of this his<strong>to</strong>ric ski <strong>to</strong>wn, s<strong>to</strong>p for lunch, ice cream or<br />
