Karmina Šilec brachte Frische und Originalität
in die Welt des Gesangs. Mit „Choregie
vocal theatre” und innovativen Eingriffen in
die Aufführungspraxis öffnete sie weitere
künstlerische Felder und setzte Trends bezüglich
komplexer Multi-Media Veranstaltungen.
Ihre Produktionen wurden auf Bühnen
weltweit aufgeführt und von der EBU
und Eurovision gesendet.
Als Chorleiterin betreute sie Projekte mit
diversen Ensembles wie unter anderem von
Carmina Slovenica, Ensemble !Kebataola!,
Radio Slovenia Symphony Orchester, Slovenian
National Opera and Ballet Maribor, Slovenian
National Projekt Chor, Orchester Chorus
Instrumentalis. Karmina Šilec gewann mehr
als 20 der höchsten Preise in Chorwettbewerben
und verschiedene weitere spezielle
Ehrungen. Unter anderem wurde ihr der Internationale
Robert Edler Preis für Chormusik
und der Preis des ITI – Internationalen Theater
Institut „Music Theatre Now“ in der Kategorie
„Musik fernab der Oper“ verliehen.
Außerdem arbeitet sie als künstlerische Beraterin
für Vokalmusik, gibt Vorlesungen an
internationalen Universitäten und bietet
Workshops für Manager und Chorleiter an.
Frau Šilec ist regelmäßig Gastchorleiter, Jurymitglied
oder Mitglied von künstlerischen
Komitees bei Festivals und Wettbewerben.
Sie ist Professorin für Chorleitung an der
Maribor Universität.
Karmina Šilec has brought freshness and originality
to the world of vocal music. With
“Choregie - vocal theatre” and its innovative
interventions she has opened wider artistic
spaces and set trends towards complex multimedia
events. Her productions were performed
on stages worldwide and broadcasted by
the EBU and Eurovision.
As a conductor she has projects with various
ensembles: Carmina Slovenica choir, ensemble
!Kebataola!, the Radio Slovenia Symphony
Orchestra, the Slovenian National Opera and
Ballet Maribor, the Slovenian National Project
Choir, Orchestra Chorus Instrumentalis and
many ensembles worldwide. Karmina Šilec has
received more than 20 highest awards at choir
competitions and different special awards, just
to name some: she was awarded with the international
Robert Edler Prize for Choral Music
and an award by the ITI – International Theatre
Institute “Music Theatre Now” in the category
Music beyond opera.
She also works as artistic adviser for vocal music,
gives lectures at universities worldwide,
gives workshops to managers and conductors,
she is regularly a guest conductor, jury
member or member of artistic committees at
festivals and competitions.
She is professor of choral conducting at University
of Maribor.
