who lost their lives on the first day of the
Battle of the Somme on July 1st 1916. This
mass-participation project will be created
in partnership with an Artist in Residence

schools to contribute towards a cumulative
work of art, the final piece of which will be
placed in situ at a special service on 18th

Bagot’s Castle, CV8 3AR
FREE EVENT Bagot’s Castle probably built
sometime in the 1380s by Sir William Bagot
a distinguished nobleman is thought to
have entertained Richard II. Artefacts and
photographs from the excavation work are
on display. Walk to the ruins of the Castle and
Summer house, visiting the Bagot goats and
Herdwick sheep on your way then stroll along
the River Sowe and visit the fishponds. Picnic
area with seating available. Also on site is the
former tank testing area used by Alvis Motor

The Chocolate 5k - Dorridge
