OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIAL IMPACT INVESTMENT COMMUNITY INVESTMENT TRUST The Community Investment Trust serves as NPHS’ CDFI which leverages both public and private sector investments to finance the organization’s Affordable Housing Fund for acquisition and construction, and capitalize its Community Lending Fund to provide financial products serving low to moderate income families. AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUND The Affordable Housing Fund supports the construction of new homes, as well as the acquisition, rehabilitation and resale of single family homes for first-time homebuyers. Additionally, the fund supports the construction, acquisition and rehabilitation of multifamily housing as part of NPHS’ affordable rental housing program. COMMUNITY LENDING FUND The Community Lending Fund supports NPHS’ homeownership financing program which includes the Opportunity Down Payment Assistance loan to help families afford the cost of homeownership. Additionally, the fund supports NPHS’ home improvement financing program including the new Sojourner Solar loan and Renaissance home repair programs.
