New Advance in Modern Biochemistry
Biochemistry, the emergence of the term could be dated back to the late 19th century or early 20th
century, but its origins can be traced back farther. Its early history is a part of the early history of
physiology and chemistry. For example, in the 1780s, A.-L. Lavoisier proved both breathing and
combustion could be oxidation, while almost at the same time the scientists also found that plant
respiration might be the reverse process of photosynthesis in nature.
According to Wiki, biochemistry, sometimes called biological chemistry, is the study of chemical
processes within and relating to living organisms, such as some chemical products. It draws on
the techniques of analytical, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry in determining the
molecular basis of vital processes. In fact, modern biochemistry has accelerated human drug
targets for new knowledge and identification, which is meaningful for scientific drug synthesis
and discovery.
It is also a branch of biology, which is the study of chemical composition of living matter,
structure and biological processes on the basis of various chemical changes in the life sciences.
Large and complex biological molecules in the body can also be degraded to a very simple level.
When biological molecules are hydrolyzed, their basic unit can be found, such as the amino acids
in proteins, nucleic acids in nucleotides, fatty acids in lipids and carbohydrates in sugar. These
small molecules can be seen as a simple biological molecule member, or referred to as component
molecules.
Biochemistry is a laboratory based science that brings together biology and chemistry. By using
chemical knowledge and techniques, biochemists can understand and solve biological problems
more effectively, especially for insect pheromone. It mainly focuses on what’s happening inside
the cells, studying components like proteins, lipids, organelles, and so on. Having covered a wide
range of scientific disciplines, including genetics, microbiology, forensics, plant science and
medicine, modern biochemistry has gained new advance in pharmaceutical applications, such as
anti-aging, nutrition supplements, etc.
As is known, food biochemistry has gained more focus in recent days. Advances in Food
Biochemistry provides a unified exploration of foods from a biochemical perspective. Based on
the fact, a series of chemical groups are trying to discover more effective methods for further
analytical experiments in chemistry research, such as professional tech panel, high-level facilities,
experienced workflow, and some other aspects. In addition, considering the rapid development in
modern industrialization, 2-propyl acetate is also showing its concern in the combination among
new chemicals, which will be significant in life sciences.
Besides, clinical biochemistry test is also an important part of medical laboratory. Mass technical
platforms for the molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology have been successfully
established in the lab, which will largely promote the development of modern medications.
