Since Marine House opened in 1998 Andrew<br />
Coates has been one of our most celebrated<br />
artists with a worldwide following. His unique<br />
style, meticulously observing the detailed<br />
mood of landscapes, and painted with marks<br />
made by fine small brushes, is unique and<br />
compelling.<br />
Living as he does in Beer, the majority of<br />
his work reflects his love for the South West<br />
landscapes and seascape. Big skies, bold<br />
vistas, tranquil rivers, dramatic sunsets,<br />
breaking waves on a Devon beach, are all<br />
part of his virtuoso repertoire.<br />
Each painting can take over one month<br />
to complete. Demand is high amongst his<br />
large band of collectors and regrettably the<br />
gallery has had a famine of new works of<br />
late. The famine is over and feasting can<br />
