Who could forget that
history naking first GP
win at Jerez - #From
last to First!
It was another massive
battle for the win in
the Moto3’s at Aragon.
Navarro got the win,
but Brad got the title!
Jorge Navarro and Romano Fenati
with two laps remaining to take
the win.
6. ITALIAN GRAND PRIX (1st)
Binder completed a triumphant trio
of victories at Mugello, extending
his lead in the overall standings
to 49 points as a result. The win
came in a frantic group race, which
saw 5 riders crossing the finish line
less than a second apart, and 15
within 2 seconds of each other.
7. CATALAN GRAND PRIX (2nd)
A somber shadow was cast over
the Catalan GP by the tragic death
of Luis Salom. The whole paddock
expressed their solidarity with
the Majorcan’s family, and Brad
Binder was able to pay his own
unique tribute by dedicating a
pole position and a podium to his
former teammate.
8. DUTCH TT (12th)
For the first time in eight races,
Brad Binder finished off the
podium with a twelfth place at
Assen. The South African rider,
who had started from the second
row, remained in the Top 4 until,
with seven laps to go, a mistake
caused him to run off-track. Binder
rejoined the race in 13th, gaining
a place before the chequered flag
to pick up 4 points. It brought his
run of seven consecutive podiums
to an end.
9. GERMAN GRAND PRIX (8th)
The German Grand Prix was
also a difficult event for the Red
Bull KTM Ajo rider. Despite a
very strong start in Free Practice,
Binder placed sixth in the
qualifying session at Sachsenring.
Rain would make an appearance
on a day in which, despite riding
in the Top 10 at all times, the
South African rider could only
finish eighth.
10. AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX (2nd)
After two races off the rostrum,
Brad Binder got back on the
podium at the newest circuit on
the calendar: The Red Bull Ring in
Austria. At the home GP for both
Red Bull and KTM, the Moto3
World Championship leader
demonstrated his great ability
to adapt to an unfamiliar track.
Starting from the front row, Binder
took second place just 0.2 tenths
of a second off the victory, after a
battle between five riders.
