Q: Do you feel intimidated out on track
with the guys?
Anja: It was quite intimidating the first race,
as you know it’s a male dominated sport,
but then I realised they just view me as
another racer. And I must say all the guys
have been quite supportive and helpful on
and off the track.
Landi: I think the guys are more intimidated
by me....hahahaha
Q: Who are your favourite racers?
Anja: All-time favourite would definitely
be Valentino Rossi, female racer Sabine
Holbrook and local favourites Sheridan
Morais and Brad Binder.
Landi: Valentino Rossi and Jonathan Rea.
Q: Is it all just for fun or is there a
serious side?
Anja: Well it’s definitely fun to be able to
race, as I believe you always have to enjoy
what you do. So for me there is a big fun
factor to it, but I would say that there is
the serious side too. As at the end of the
day it’s racing and you want to make sure
that you constantly improve and being a
sponsored rider you also want them to see
that even though you enjoying the racing
you are trying your best every race and
giving your best representation being a
brand ambassador.
Landi: From the moment I climb on my
bike it becomes serious, but the most
important is to remember to have fun.
Q: Future plans?
Anja: Being my first season of racing and
loving it, I would like to continue to be part
of the Milwaukee Race team and family and
race for as long as possible. It would be
an absolute dream to be able to move into
the National racing and compete alongside
our best local racers and maybe one day
race internationally. So far for next year
I’m wanting to build on my current years’
experience and hopefully with the added
experience some new opportunities and
doors will open.
Landi: My main goal is to race in the Isle of
Man 2021.
