Administrator’s Comments
� Susan DiNatale reported on good attendance at a January 26 meeting as she presented the findings of
the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse survey.
� Mark Mambretti commended the buildings and grounds staff on the preparations for the move to the third
floor next week.
Reports
� Mr. Blowers reviewed the December, 2009 Treasurer’s Report, 2009 Budget Status and Revenue
Reports to date. Mr. Blowers also presented the District Recycling Program Report.
� Dr. Hoagland and Mr. Roberts presented a report on new courses added to the High School Course
Offering Catalog and gave an overview of a proposed High School Math/Science/Technology Academy
Program.
� Dr. Gibson presented the State-mandated Biennial Review of the District’s Shared Decision Making Plan.
Items for Board Discussion
Mr. Bodziak and the Board of Education discussed a proposed retirement incentive for the East Aurora Faculty
Association and East Aurora Civil Service Personnel Association Members.
Mr. Bodziak, Mr. Blowers and members of the Board of Education continued discussion related to the Preliminary
Budget, specifically questions of clarification, additional requests for information and next steps in the process.
In business matters, Superintendent Bodziak recommended that the Board of Education:
� Accepted the resignation of Lindsay Balikowski as Peer Mentor for the 2nd semester of the 2009-2010
school year;
� Accepted the resignation of Albert Raab as HS Mock Trial Advisor for the 2009-2010 school year;
� Appoint Katherine Kubiak as HS Mock Trial Advisor for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year;
� Appoint the following individuals to the High School 2009-2010 Musical staff: Choreographer, Michael
Lambert; Costume Director, Krisanne Hailey; Orchestra Director, Paula O’Connor; Chorus Director, Paul
Blackwell; Ticket Chairperson, Kelly Eckler; Art/Set Director, Nicholas Campoli, Technical Director,
Nicholas Campoli;
� Approve the following interscholastic appointments, effective January 20, 2010:
Steven Potter Junior Varsity Baseball Coach
Steve Sokolski Varsity Baseball Coach
Jesse Hamms Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach
Tim Wade Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach
