How We Can Provide the Solution<br />

HOW Foundation’s inaugural “Dine for<br />

Veterans” is Sunday, November 6 – Veterans<br />

Day, Friday, November 11, <strong>2016</strong>.<br />

To raise funds for our local veterans in<br />

need of hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment<br />

for TBI and PTS, and to also raise<br />

awareness about the needs of our veterans<br />

affected with TBI and PTS.<br />

The Structure<br />

Restaurants in the tri-county area will<br />

be able to single out a day and/or time<br />

(Happy Hour, for example) where a portion<br />

of proceeds for that time period will<br />

be donated back to the Foundation. 100%<br />

of proceeds will be going to fund hyperbaric<br />

oxygen therapy treatment for our<br />

veterans; no administrative costs or event<br />

costs will be taken out.<br />

Deck 84<br />

Deck 84 and the Delray Beach Chamber<br />

of Commerce hosted an enjoyable night<br />

for all that attended. Deck 84 provided delicious<br />

flat bread pizza, chopped pasta salad<br />

and chicken salad sliders. Meanwhile<br />

people made new contacts and exchanged<br />

business cards all while enjoying drinks<br />

at the bar. The Delray Beach Chamber of<br />

Commerce volunteers did a great job helping<br />

with the party.<br />

The Florida Mental Health<br />

Counselors Association<br />

Meets In Delray Beach<br />

The non-profit professional group<br />

known as Mental Health Counselor’s Association<br />

of Palm Beach has chosen Delray<br />

Beach for their new home, after 20<br />

years in West Palm Beach and Old School<br />

Square as their favored venue for monthly<br />

educational events. The group is composed<br />

of licensed mental health counselors,<br />

clinical social workers and marriage<br />

and family therapists. Its charter is to<br />

provide continuing education to mental<br />

health professionals and a base of support<br />

for the network of clinical therapists<br />

serving the community. The group has<br />

planned monthly luncheon meetings at<br />

Old School Square featuring authors and<br />

professional speakers. A talk on ADHD by<br />

Dr William Pelham of FIU scheduled on<br />

<strong>October</strong> 21, <strong>2016</strong> and Dr Jamie Vinck on<br />

drug addiction on November 21, <strong>2016</strong>.<br />
