SURVIVORS GROUP<br />

The Survivors Group is a warm, friendly and<br />
n<strong>on</strong>-judgemental group for people who have<br />
experienced mental illness. The group helps<br />
people tackle isol<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>i<strong>on</strong> and build c<strong>on</strong>fidence<br />
through activities and outings. Recent highlights<br />
have included art workshops, cooking sessi<strong>on</strong>s,<br />
circus skills and a trip<br />
to Tropical World.<br />

NOUVEAU WELLBEING<br />
D<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>es: Every M<strong>on</strong>day for six weeks,<br />
from 26 September to 31 October <br />

Cre<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>ed for any<strong>on</strong>e experiencing poor health,<br />
these activity sessi<strong>on</strong>s help improve wellbeing<br />
and physical functi<strong>on</strong>. The sessi<strong>on</strong>s will include<br />
low impact workouts suitable for all, such as<br />
chair-based dance and exercises, and a range<br />
of target games, such as curling and boccia.

Run by Dipa Mistry, these sessi<strong>on</strong>s will give you<br />
a release after the challenges of the day. The<br />
sessi<strong>on</strong>s use a mix of physical postures, bre<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>hing<br />
and relax<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>i<strong>on</strong> practices, and are accessible for<br />
all levels. No equipment required – just wear<br />
comfortable clothing.<br />

Exploring Wh<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g> M<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>ters is a course designed<br />
to help people discover how to live a happier<br />
and kinder life. Designed by the charity Acti<strong>on</strong><br />
For Happiness, it is intended for people of all<br />
backgrounds who would like to be part of<br />
a more compassi<strong>on</strong><str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>e and caring society.
POSITIVE CARE PROGRAMME<br />

The Positive Care Programme taster sessi<strong>on</strong>s<br />
are for people with l<strong>on</strong>g-term c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s,<br />
including mental health problems, and unpaid<br />
carers. Group workshops cover a wide variety<br />
of topics about looking after your mind, body<br />
and spirit, plus there will be practical yoga,<br />
mindfulness and cre<str<strong>on</strong>g>at</str<strong>on</strong>g>ive sessi<strong>on</strong>s too.

instruments to try, and all musical<br />
abilities are welcome. The group is<br />
mental health and dementia friendly<br />
and is for any<strong>on</strong>e who wants to<br />
reach their goals or simply have fun.
