What is one essential you
must have when studying
and why?
A quiet, comfortable environment,
otherwise I become
distracted.
What do you like to do when
not in school or studying?
When I’m not in school or
studying, I’m mostly at diving
practice, and if not that,
then I’m with my friends and
family.
What is your dream job and
why?
A job that I could travel
the world for.
What is one thing people
don’t know about you?
I used to be a competitive
gymnast.
Whom do you look up to and
why?
My mother. She’s the
hardest working and caring
person I know.
Who is your favorite teacher
and why?
Ms. Pavilk, my Psychology
teacher, because she is
very humorous and sarcastic,
making the class fun and
something I look forward to
every day.
What is your favorite class

AP German 4, because being
able to speak almost fluently
in a foreign language is
really cool.
What is one thing that
stands out about your
school?
Our school spirit definitely
sticks out. Other Lincoln-Way
high schools don’t
compare to the pride we
have. A large percentage of
our school took fan buses to
the [basketball] state championship
game.
If you could change one thing
about school, what would
it be?
I would give us more days
off.
What is your best memory
from school?
Joining the diving team
this year.

LW Central mathletes win
first conference meet
The Lincoln-Way Central
Mathletes hosted the first
conference meet of the year
last month and won by scoring
693 points to Lincoln-
Way East’s 688 points.
The Knights captured
seven first-place titles and
two second-place titles out
of 15 areas of competition.
Outstanding performances
were given in the oral competition
at the freshman/
sophomore level on Probability
by George Burchfield
and Jared Kreis with
49 points out of 50, and at
the junior/senior level on
Sets, Relations, and Functions
by Zak Dundek and
Liana Chidichimo with 48
points, and Matrix Algebra
by Emily Parker and Taylor
Lenburg with 49 points.

the senior topic of Complex
