Pancake Breakfast
8-10 a.m. Oct. 15. The
New Lenox Fire Foundation
pancake breakfasts will be
starting up again for the winter
months. The breakfasts
are held at the New Lenox
Fire Protection District’s Station
1, located at 261 E. Maple
Street, one Saturday per
month from October through
March. The breakfasts are
free to the public; however,
those who attend are encouraged
to bring canned goods
and other food items for the
local food pantry.

event is to take place at all
four of the New Lenox Fire
Protection District’s stations,
and the addresses are as follows:

to attend this event is
to help raise money for Chris
“Doc” Fanelli, an army veteran
and Mokena resident
who has recently become
disabled. A DJ and raffles
are just a couple of the features
of the event. The cost
to attend is $10.

Pant for the Pantry 5K
8:30 a.m. Oct. 16, Old
Plank Trail, 280 Veterans
Pkwy., New Lenox. All are
invited to take part in the
sixth annual Pant for the Pantry
5K. Prices for early registration
is as follows: free for
children ages 14 and under
or $10 including a race shirt;
$15 for teens ages 15-17; and
$30 for adults ages 18 and
over. Prices for registration
on the day of is as follows:

to run the half mile fun run.
