Day 1. Australia – Hanoi
Vietnam is a graceful country
filled with stunning natural
beauty and a charming culture.
Its mountains, jungles, and
coastlines range from virtually
untouched to well-groomed,
while its villages remain quaint
but hospitable, and its cities are
cosmopolitan and charming.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted
at the airport by your tour guide
and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2. Hanoi
Enjoy a city tour of Hanoi’s most
famous sites: Ho Chi Minh’s
Mausoleum (outside view), One
Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple
of Literature, Vietnam’s first
university. Later, enjoy a cyclo
ride around the Old Quarter, and
then catch a water puppet show, a
celebrated traditional Vietnamese
folk art. In the evening enjoy a
welcome dinner.
Day 3. Hanoi – Halong Bay
Travel by coach to Halong Bay for
an overnight boat trip to explore
one of the world’s great natural
wonders, cruising the thousands
of limestone islands. Visit some of
the hidden grottoes beneath the
towering cliffs. Enjoy a seafood
lunch and dinner on board.
Day 4. Halong Bay – Hanoi
– Danang – Hoi An
Enjoy the aquamarine waters
of the bay at its best as the junk
cruises quietly through the
spectacular limestone formations.
Disembark and transfer to Hanoi
airport to board a short flight
to Da Nang.
Day 5. Hoi An
Today’s highlight is the
UNESCO World Heritage
listed town of Hoi An itself. An
important trading port between
the 15th and 19th centuries,
you will step back in time as
you wander its narrow streets,
ancient covered bridges and
temples. After lunch, visit an old
merchant’s home, Hoi An Market
and a local Chinese temple, then
enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 6. Hoi An – Danang
– Ho Chi Minh City
Take the early morning flight
to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly
known as Saigon. Upon your
arrival, you’ll head north-west of
Ho Chi Minh City to the town
of Cu Chi and explore the Cu Chi
Tunnels, one of the most famous
battlegrounds of the Vietnam
War. The secret tunnel system
is 200 kilometres long and served
