Dornbracht
Dornbracht is a globally active family-run manufacturer of high-quality fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens. The company is one of
the few in the sanitation industry where production is ‘Made in Germany’. With CL.1, Dornbracht presents a stunning new range of bathroom fittings
that consistently combines straight lines and soft curves, lending it a distinctly architectural character. The advanced design language marks the start
of a new decade in Dornbracht product design, the key aim of which is to pursue designs that are dynamic, animated and elegant. The abbreviation
‘CL’ stands for Dornbracht’s current brand claim, ‘Culturing Life’, and the number 1 refers to the first product design to emerge from this new brand
direction.
Other special features of CL.1 are its new textured handles. A play of tactility, these handles sharpen the senses. Two different texture options are
available for the handles of the fittings, giving them a luxurious and distinctive look and feel. Not only is this in keeping with the increasing desire
for materials with a tactile quality, it is also a contemporary response to the megatrend of individualisation in areas that are often neglected when
it comes to making bold design decisions. The two versions available, smooth or textured, which opens up possibilities for a more personalised
bathroom design.
It is not just the design of Dornbracht’s CL.1 that sets new
standards; its engineering is special too. An innovative flow
pattern boasts extremely efficient water consumption. The
sprayface is an in-house development that gently immerses
the user’s hands in 40 soft, individual jets of water and with
a flow rate of just 3.9 litres per minute, water consumption is
extremely efficient. With this new flow mode, the CL.1 considers
a more sustainable lifestyle. The entire series comes in plated
finishes, polished chrome and platinum matt, including a wide
range of fittings and accessories for the washbasin, shower, bath
and bidet. It can be combined with products from other series,
to meet individual needs and requirements. The arrangement
of outlets and controls can also be customised, adding to
the possibilities for a more personal and individual design.
A particular user-friendly option is Dornbracht’s Smart Tools
technology. These digital control elements integrate numerous
options for digitisation in both the bathroom and kitchen by
networking components and simplifying the applications
involved. With a single flick of the wrist, two control dials allow
for precise control of temperature and water volume, and a
simple display can call up frequently used settings or presets,
bringing a solution elegant in both design and usage.
