This Airbus A320 marks the 9th VIP
interior completed for Comlux America,
the Completion and Services center of the
Comlux Group based in Indianapolis Indiana,
subsidiary company to Zurich, Switzerland
based Comlux Aviation Services. This is one
of the finest private A320 on the market
today, but it can also boast about having one
of the lightest weight cabins, which optimizes
the overall range performance of the aircraft.
Other achievements include an unparalleled
noise level measuring a staggering 45.4 dBSIL.
This is Comlux America’s 4th ACJ interior
completion overall since becoming an
authorized service center for Airbus in 2010.
The project flourished as a result of the
Comlux creatives working with Fiona Riddle,
for the collaboration of this beautiful interior.
Each piece of this interior was specifically
selected to make sure the aircraft is up to the
highest standard. The carpets from Tai Ping
add a soft elegant touch complementing the
rest of the interior.
Chief Designer, Lauri Church, said that the
overall design inspiration came from the
customer’s needs and wants. “The customer
was heavily involved, probably more so than
most. The overall flow and usage aspects
were exclusively designed for him. Many of
the rooms are multi-functional and have the
ability to transform the aircraft from having
one bedroom to three with queen sized beds,”
said Church. “Most of the materials used
were guided by the direction of Fiona, the
interior designer, and the specific design style
that she expected. The overall style can be
classified as Modern European. It was very
important to her that it be a very warm and
inviting environment.”
The aircraft is licensed to carry up to twentyseven
passengers, and has the capability of
transforming the VIP areas into individual
sleeping compartments which provides
guests optimal sleep comfort. The owner also
has his own private quarters in the Master
Suite. For business meetings and long trips
the aircraft includes Business class seating
and forward there is a lounge and a Staff
area. With the use of the In-flight System
from Rockwell Collings, this aircraft is truly
unique. The IFE system displays real time
map and flight information and allows the
passengers to stream movies wirelessly onto
IPADs that are available upon request. In
addition to IFE, throughout the aircraft there
is Quasar lighting which offers an infinitely
variable color pallet to choose from including
mood lighting. This aircraft truly comes
equipped with everything a guest might
want or need while travelling; no detail was
overlooked.
This timeless interior features a modern
balance between classic European flare and
traditional designs. The elegant interior
has various shades of cream and taupe
that contrast beautifully against the dark
veneer and hand crafted carpet, which flows
harmoniously from tip-to-tail. From the
moment guests enter they are immediately
impressed with the warm and comforting
atmosphere of the cabin. It was important
to maintain comfort for the customer while
serving also as a travelling office. The entire
interior comes together for both business and
personal needs to create a home away from
home for the owner and their guests.

Comlux developed its own VIP cabin design
office Comlux Creatives, which has been relocated
to the Comlux facilities in the US.
