Now in its 39th year, New England artisans will line the cafeteria, halls, and gymnasium of Holliston High School on Sunday, November 20th. “We are very excited to have many new vendors to the fair this year,” says Erica Long, chair of Craft Fair. “There will be an incredible assortment of handmade goods including knit pieces, custom clothing, beautiful jewelry, photography, artwork, and tasty treats.” Of course, 2016 Craft Fair still has all of your old favorites such as iDazz Custom Designs, Nantasket Beads, Warm Fuzzies, and Little Beehive Farm owned by Holliston resident HHS Theatre 370 to Present Legally Blonde, The Musical Show to take Place November 17-19 Holliston High School Theatre 370 will present Legally Blonde, the Musical on November 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holliston High School auditorium, 370 Hollis Street, Holliston. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students. Legally Blonde is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). O’Gara Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo is “just pure humor,” says Jim Porter, who is directing the Washington Street Players production that will continue on November 3-5, at Holliston Town Hall. “It’s a classic farce, written by probably the foremost guy in farce right now,” says Porter. That includes door slamming and people not understanding what’s going on with each other, says the director. Mixed messages create hilarity in the script. That’s what Porter likes about it. The activity in the play centers around has-been actors George (Chris Ereth, of Framingham) and Charlotte (Karen Dinehart) Hay. The aging actors are “touring, doing repertory, but there are problems within the company, with making budget, paying people, a little hanky panky going on causing great trouble,” says Porter, who went to school for theatre and has been directing for 20 years, although this is the first WSP production he has directed. The show features a Deaf grandmother, Ethel, Charlotte’s mother (Judy Davis), who hates George, a fetching young daughter, Roz (Erin Anderson, of Milford), a local weatherman, Howard (Billy Del Sesto, of Framingham) and a company manager, Paul (Mark Prokes). A young love interest, Eileen, is played by Krystyana Greaves, and a lawyer, Richard, played by Paul Gillespie, who tries to steal Charlotte from George. “There’s a lot of physical comedy, swordplay and people falling off the stage,” says Porter. In fact, Washington Street Players brought in a stage combat trainer to keep those scenes safe for actors. “Whether it’s chases in cars or doors slamming, it’s so outrageous that it’s side-splitting funny.” Porter says co-producers Sue Ann Czotter and Nate Callahan have worked very hard on this production, and he credits Rich Greaves, of Ashland, with building the set and doing all the lights. Moon Over Buffalo will be presented at Holliston Town Hall, at 8 p.m., on November 3, 4, and 5. Tickets in advance are $15 students and seniors, $18 general public; Tickets at door $17 students and seniors, $20 general public.
