Jensen Sheehan Celebrates her 90th Birthday with a donation
to Hollistion Senior Center
If Jensen Sheehan Insurance
Agency were a person, you
would call her a Nonagearian—someone
age 90 or greater.
Established in 1926, Jensen Sheehan
has evolved with an everchanging
insurance industry.
Through all the changes, one
thing has remained the same,
Jensen Sheehan’s commitment
to her family—the community
of Holliston.
In 2012, Bill Sheehan, president
of Jensen Sheehan, reached

out to Steve Ellis of Bright Insurance
to see if he would be interested
in extending Bright’s family
into Holliston by acquiring the
Jensen Sheehan Agency. Steve,
a lifelong resident of Hopedale
and longtime supporter of business’
with strong community ties,
was intrigued.
Even if it meant inheriting
Bill’s “well-loved” antique car,
Hercules.
In January 2013, the partnership
of Bright and Jensen Sheehan
became official.
Earlier this year, in preparation
of Jensen Sheehan’s 90th
birthday, Steve began searching
for the perfect birthday gift to
give her—a way to give back to
the community. He began asking
his employees as well as other
members of the community for
the name of an organization that
exemplified the giving nature of
Holliston.
Time after time, the answer
was the Holliston Senior Center
Association.
Their commitment to providing
residents of Holliston a place
to experience healthy activities,
programs and other resources
demonstrates what it means to
be an excellent neighbor and
shining example to the community.
The impact of the senior
center extends beyond town
lines. In fact, one employee told

Steve that her mother who was
in need of a wheelchair received
one from the senior center, even
though she lives in Milford.
The senior center also provides
door-to-door services for
medical appointments in the MetroWest
area for their residents as
well as weekly grocery shopping
trips.
The Holliston Senior Center
is about outreach to the community.
The Holliston Senior Center
takes part in fuel and food
assistance for members of our
community—something that becomes
even more important as
we wait on the doorstep of another
frigid New England winter.
The Holliston Senior Center
wants to help their neighbors, because
the people of Holliston are
not just a collection of houses.
They are a family.
It’s a sentiment we here at Jensen
Sheehan strive to follow, as
well, every day. We do more than
just provide insurance policies,
we provide security and peace of
mind for members of our family
and their businesses, and we have
been doing so for 90 years.
