Hello Everybody
John has mentioned the new arrangements for the
club lottery and I do urge you to become a member
as its one of the lifelines of the club.
I just had to add a photograph to my piece taken at
an FA Cup game in 1950 between Tooting &
Mitcham Utd and Nottingham Forest., (not by our
advertiser Melvin Silcock!) Its amazing how football
was played in such conditions and even more amazing
to me that I remember those conditions!!
You may have noticed that we now have BT Sport in
the bar and after this afternoon’s game you will be
able to stay on and watch Chelsea v Everton 5.30,
And you could combine a late Sunday Lunch on the
6th to watch Arsenal v Spurs at noon!
On the pitch front we are now almost rid of the
moles that seem to enjoy being at Woodstock, my
suggestion was to trap them and release them at
Faversham’s ground (only joking Faversham!).
I’m sure it hasn’t escaped the statos amongst you
that around 45 minutes and 90 minutes have featured
heavily this season for us in both goals scored
(recently games against Guernsey (both for and
against!) ), Tonbridge Angels, Corinthian-Casuals,
Three Bridges, and Lewes. The moral of the story is
not to try and beat the crowd into the bar at half time
