Many in their congregation feel<br />
that Christmas starts with the now<br />
famous bazaar which begins on<br />
Friday afternoon at 15.00 and runs<br />
until 17.00 on Sunday evening.<br />
Just as St Alban’s does in the summer, there are concerts in the church. Tomten<br />
and his Elves will visit the church at 15.00 on Saturday and at 12.00 on Sunday.<br />
At 14.00 on Sunday afternoon there will be a Gospel concert by the Victoria<br />
Choir.<br />
Children are encouraged to make their own christmas decorations and to ‘klip og<br />
klistre’ (cut and paste) in the church while the adults drink gløgg and coffee and<br />
eat the traditional brunekager.<br />
Gustaf Church, part of the Church of Sweden Abroad, is the church of the<br />
Swedish congregation in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built from 1907 to 1911<br />
to the design of Theodor Wåhlin and is named after King Gustaf V of Sweden. It<br />
has recently undergone extensive renovation.<br />
