MULTICULTURAL DAY
Friday, September 30th, was packed with events. Students presented the countries they represented during
Chapel time. At lunch they enjoyed dishes from those countries, thanks to our wonderful and generous
parents. In the afternoon they visited each classroom to experience the country that class chose to focus on.

LANAKILA BAPTIST ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE
October 3 rd Lanakila kicked off our Annual Food Drive.
This is the 15 th year that Lanakila has collected food for
the River of Life Mission and Meals on Wheels. Whether
students can only give a little or a lot, every bit helps. So
far this year K-6 th students have brought in 4,058.07
pounds of food. We are just 810.37 pounds short of
beating last year’s record.
If you have not had an opportunity to donate or would
like to donate more, you still have time. Donations are
be accepted through November 20 th . All food will be
delivered to the Mission on Monday, November 21 st .
“And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones
a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say
unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these
my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40
Educating children goes beyond academics at Lanakila.
We want our students to learn to have generous hearts
that reach beyond their families and their friends. Samaritan’s
Purse provides students an opportunity to
share Christmas with needy children around the world.
November 14th we will be taking all the boxes to the
drop up center. If you would like a shoebox, please call
