4At around age 14 he got his first job and worked at a
restaurant. He learned to cook from the chef. Over the next
3 years, he learned the different preparations for dishes
served at the restaurant. When he was 17, Mohammed got
his first job being head chef and has continued cooking in
restaurants for the past 34 years.
4 “Because Kurds aren’t a patient people. They like to have
full bellies. Kurds don’t fight, they don’t cause trouble, they
don’t play with technology, they just eat! Since they like to
eat, I like to cook!”
