Boeing Test and Evaluation
The new UK team’s test and evaluation work allows operational
capability to be declared on day one of service.
Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) works globally across the
enterprise, ensuring that Boeing products and services meet
the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability. BT&E
is committed to providing the best value with our business
partners and delivering safe, efficient and effective testing.
BT&E provides a global network of subject matter experts
delivering testing in both laboratories and on aircraft platforms.
Over the past two years, Boeing has developed a test and
evaluation capability in the UK. Working closely with the
MoD and industry, the UK team has successfully completed
complex, time critical test activities on Chinook Mk5, Mk6 and
safety modifications for the wider Chinook fleet, such as the
Traffic Advisory System.
The team is made up of experimental test aircrew, aircrew
instructors, maintenance test aircrew, flight test engineers,
instrumentation engineers and operational support staff. Using
company-wide processes allows the UK team to play an
integral part in the globalisation of Boeing, enabling effective,
timely and affordable test and evaluation delivery to customers
in the UK and across Europe.
