Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
Boeing is committed to fostering a safe and healthy workplace
for all its employees, customers and partners.
Through the rigorous application of preventative and
corrective measures, the company has reduced work days
lost from injuries sustained on the job and has received
numerous awards recognising its commitment to health and
safety. BDUK’s employees raise over two EHS improvement
observations per day, demonstrating the company’s
commitment to driving a zero injury culture.
Quality
BDUK
The Quality team works across all of our business areas to
ensure the services and programmes that we deliver comply
with Boeing’s high standards and meet the requirements of
the regulatory authorities. The team maintains responsibility
for the internal audit programme of all our processes and
programmes, contributes to our continuous improvement
activities, and manages our relationship with external auditors
from both the Military Aviation Authority and Lloyds Register
Quality Assurance.
Boeing seeks to continually improve its processes and facilities
for all employees with initiatives that range from incorporating
ergonomic improvements that make building our products
more comfortable, to technology research and investments
that make our workplaces safer.
Operations
BDUK’s Operations function encompasses the modification,
maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on fixed and
rotary wing aircraft, together with responsibility for quality and
environment, health & safety (EHS) across the business.
Operations delivers key modification programmes on the
UK’s Chinook fleet and works alongside the RAF to deliver
“Whole Force Approach” solutions for maintenance activity
at RAF stations, working under either Boeing’s maintenance
approved organisation scheme (MAOS) or RAF QR640
governance processes. It also directly supports the Boeing
Test & Evaluation (BT&E) experimental test flying capability and
deploys staff alongside the RAF as contractor-work parties or
contractors deployed on operations, when requested.
