This year, the National Day of Prayer event was held on, Thursday, May 5, 2016, 3pm-8pm.
Brother Joe Rios led those who attended each hour in prayer and encouraged the prayers of the saints on
behalf of our families, the nation, the Body of Christ, youth and the world.
Brother Joe often speaks of prayer as the glue to bind a church together with God and with one another.
He exhorts us with 1 Thessalonians 5:17, reminding us to pray without ceasing.
Not only that, Brother Joe makes it his business to live this out before us,
constantly making intercession for the saints.
National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for TSOP to join with churches and
believers around the country to pray on behalf of the nation. There are many
things we see in the natural that have spiritual impact and we need to be in
prayer to cover homes, families, marriages, church leaders, and children. It is
through prayer that strongholds are broken, deliverance of the captives occurs
and new converts are brought into the Body of Christ. It is with prayer that we
discern the will of the Father.
Let us be committed to be a church that prays without ceasing! Amen.

TSOP’s Time of Corporate Fast and Prayer
Background: A fast modeled after the fast Daniel did
as described in Daniel 1:8-1717 to keep himself pure.
Purpose: For TSOP to crucify the flesh and grow in
fellowship and relationship with God.
Date/Times: First full week of each month,
Monday-Friday 6am-6pm (June-December 2016)
Please Note: Make necessary modifications as
needed to accommodate medical circumstances.
Please use good judgment. Details of the fast set by
you and dedicated to the Lord before you begin.
Acceptable Foods for a “Daniel Fast”
(Fresh, Frozen, Dried, Juiced or Canned)
Including but not limited to
All Fruits
All Vegetables
All Whole Grains
All Nuts and Seed
All Legumes
Quality Oils:
Olive/Canola/Grapeseed/Peanut/Sesame
Water: Spring/Distilled/Purified
Tofu, Soy, Vinegar, Seasonings, Herbs & Spices

8But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal
food and wine, and he asked the chief official for
permission not to defile himself this way. 9 Now God had
caused the official to show favor and compassion to
Daniel, 10 but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid of my
lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why
should he see you looking worse than the other young
men your age? The king would then have my head
because of you.” 11 Daniel then said to the guard whom
the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah,
Mishael and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten
days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to
drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the
young men who eat the royal food, and treat your
servants in accordance with what you see.” 14 So he
agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
15At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and
better nourished than any of the young men who ate the
royal food. 16 So the guard took away their choice food
and the wine they were to drink and gave them
vegetables instead. 17 To these four young men God gave
knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature
and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and
dreams of all kinds.
