THE TSOP TIMES SUMMER 2016 Personal Approach Toward Health God is always speaking, and it is our goal to be still and hear His voice. As we continue our P.A.T.H toward Divine Health, let’s pause for a moment to gain a better understanding of our health. According, to the World Health Organization, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. Gods Divine Health moves us into position that goes beyond man’s limitations, and taps into the unlimited power of God so that we can experience His very best for our lives. It is my desire that we continue to seek Gods direction for His temple and walk in obedience. Grow spiritually, think heavenly enly and move physically! Upcoming Health Focus P.A.T.H. August is National Immunization Awareness Month– –this is a great time to learn the highlights and importance of immunization across the lifespan. Activities focus on encouraging all people to protect their health by being vaccinated against infectious diseases. For more information visit www.PBHFoundation.org September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month – this is a time to create awareness of childhood obesity. Numerous organizations in the U.S. are dedicated to solving the problem of childhood obesity. For more information visit www.coam-month.org She leads a 5K training group for TSOP Sis. THE TSOP TIMES SUMMER 2016 1 Timothy 4:12 ESV “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example The Youth of True Sanctuary of Praise are the heart of Pastor Perry and our Ministry as a whole. Kids’ Korner Our youth are on fire for the Lord and one place where we see this fire kindled is in the Wednesday night Bible school for youth ages 5-12 led by Elder Jesse Mitchell. Kendal Coulbertson states, “We are currently studying the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5.” When asked about how the Wednesday night sessions have impacted her, she says “It gives us stuff to look forward to. Reading the different chapters of Galatians and when we go outside of church it shows me how I should treat other people, even when they don’t treat me correctly. When other people ask me why I am treating them [kindly], I get to tell them why. Because God commanded us to love one another, the way that we love ourselves. This is a reference to Mark 12:31. “ She says, “We have a lot of new kids, which is ‘cool’ because we get to learn with new people and it’s not just the same people coming each week. It shows that we are learning something and we are hungry for more. Elder makes it easy for us to understand what the Scripture means, so that we can apply it to our lives.” Out of the mouth of babes! Elder Mitchell’s requests for the Youth Bible Class 1) Youth need to bring their swords (The Bible) and 2) Parents review with the children so that we are all studying to show ourselves approved. If a young person is interested in attending this class, membership is not required! Just come with a parent on Wednesday nights, bring your Bible and a journal or notebook. If you do not have these things, please let Elder Mitchell or one of the ministers know, we will be happy to work with you to get them! Min. LaShonda Coulbertson Youth on the Move Movin’ On Up! Please submit all final report cards along with any college admission announcements, athletic, community or other achievements for 2015-2016 We also want to know who is going to elementary, middle, high school and college.
