What made you want to become a head teacher?<br />
The opportunity and ability to lead and change a school that had potential.<br />
What do you think of Donald Trump taking presidency in January?<br />
Funnily enough my son actually told me 18 months ago that there was a<br />
chance of Trump becoming president so I’ve had a while to get used to it. I do<br />
think he will turn out different to what he’s said to be though.<br />
What is the best piece of advice you could give?<br />
Don’t jump straight into things, stand back and consider. Weigh things up, then<br />
make your decision and don’t be afraid.<br />
What do you do in your free time?<br />
I used to go and watch football, I would walk a lot with my 2 dogs and wife. We<br />
also had a caravan hut in New Milton which I would visit on the weekends.<br />
If you didn’t live in England, where would you live?<br />
France, I really like the wide open spaces and the climate is better. I can speak<br />
a bit of French as we’ve holidayed there for the past 20 years.<br />
Why did you decide to accept girls into the school?<br />
I believe in mixed education and I know lots of families who have boys and girls<br />
and they should all be able to go to the same school.<br />
Will we ever get lockers?<br />
Yes we will, we just need to create space for them and need a proper plan.<br />
