The congress aimed to provide a platform for young students and researchers to present <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

research work and discuss priority issues in enabling science and technology applications for<br />

human welfare. The young students got an opportunity to interact with a galaxy of eminent<br />

scientists and policy experts in <strong>the</strong> field of Science and Technology. Young research scholars<br />

and students from B.Tech, M.Sc., M.Tech, Research Fellows, and Post Doctoral students took<br />

part in <strong>the</strong> Indian Youth Science Congress.<br />

The <strong>the</strong>me of <strong>the</strong> meet was ‘United Nations Sustainable Development Goals’ with focus on<br />

various goals, including 'to end hunger', 'to achieve gender equality', 'climate action and 'life<br />

below water'.<br />

have agreed to work jointly<br />

for <strong>the</strong> common cause of<br />

research, advocacy and<br />

capacity development for<br />

promoting education, health<br />

and improved livelihoods<br />

and living standards,<br />

specially for less privileged<br />

children of India, <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

families and communities. A<br />

memorandum<br />

of<br />

understanding (MoU)<br />

paving way for this was<br />

signed among <strong>the</strong> three<br />

organizations on April 9,<br />

2016.<br />

A Seminar on Smart Village<br />

was also organized on <strong>the</strong><br />

sidelines of MoU signing<br />
