18 PRogRaMs oBJEctivE To educate the students to a degree of competence that will enable him/her to systematically and professionally perform the skills required to pass the State Board examination and obtain employment. Upon completion of the course the student is qualified for employment in the following occupations: Cosmetology as a stylist, Cosmetology/Stylist Assistant and/or Shampoo Assistant. GoalS At the completion of the Pre-salon and student salon level, the student will: Have the knowledge and skills required to perform all of the aspects of hair, nail, and skin care. Be able to relate to fellow students and customers using professional interpersonal skills and marketing. Know the requirements for and be able to successfully pass the State Board examination. Have the skills needed to obtain employment in the field of cosmetology.
