VAR PROFILE
AXSource GLOBAL
The Partner Channel (TPC): Tell us about
AXSource.
Navtej Sekhon (NS): AXSource started when
two principals of the company left their former
companies. They had been in the industry,
built multiple practices/products, and felt the
need to have a boutique-sized company to
cater to both clients and Partners.
The founders had the right background

to start a new company. They started with
Axapta and Microsoft SharePoint, and later
when Microsoft bought Axapta and named
it Microsoft Dynamics AX, they changed
the practice to focus primarily on Microsoft
Dynamics AX while also offering Microsoft
Dynamics CRM and SharePoint.
AXSource is a management consulting
company with two practices: A team focused on implementation
of Microsoft Dynamics products and a team for the regulatory
consulting for the life sciences industry.
TPC: Sounds like a dynamic duo! How has that set you apart
as a Microsoft Dynamics Partner?
NS:
only Microsoft Partner with two distinct practices like this, but
the unique brainchild of the two teams is our new intellectual
property (IP) known as AXOQCS.
AXOQCS is a Microsoft Dynamics AX quality and compliance
solution for the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries to
bridge the requirements gap and design elements that are missing
Navtej Sekhon
in standard Microsoft Dynamics AX and yet are
highly required for life sciences companies.
Because of our industry focus and expertise,
we validate a lot of different solutions for life
sciences companies. After ERP is implemented,
the regulatory side of the business comes in
to validate. It was a two-step process that we
thought should be a one-step process.
Microsoft Dynamics AX is great for global
companies like life sciences businesses, but
it is missing the quality and compliance

and customizations, but that costs a lot and still
isn’t efficient as it requires a lot of validation
after the fact.
AXOQCS is a layer in Microsoft Dynamics
AX that is validated with out-of-the-box
functionality to centralize the data and take
care of all quality needs.
TPC: Can you share a few examples of the functionalities
you added to Microsoft Dynamics AX that fit life sciences
requirements?
NS: It takes away the pain of having to manually search records

paper-based processes by bringing data all into one system.

requirements, including recall management, corrective actions
and preventative actions (CAPA), electronic batch records,

yield/accountability, enhancement to customer approval,
