COMMUNITY Colep presents Sustainable Cosmetis in Paris! Raquel Teixeira (Corporate Sustainability Manager) and Michele Del Grosso (Sustainability Expert at Aptar) presented at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in Paris from 24th to 26th October 2016. The presentation “Life Cycle Assessment of Aerosols with different dispensing technologies” introduced the recent project undertaken by Aptar and Colep when they carried out the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies to evaluate the environmental impact of different products using the different valve technologies and propellants. The presentation also showed the potential to run LCA studies within business activities. This Picnic is planned not just for adults, but especially for kids, with plenty of family games available and entertainment lead by animators. As for the adults, they have the possibility to participate in sports competitions, such as the Colep Volleyball Competition – and the 2016 winners was the team of Marek Markowiak! “Really well organised event. A lot of fun and lots of attractions. I would willingly participate once again”, told us Katarzyna, a participant brought by our employee Francisco Almeida. The whole event was not only successful, but what is even more important, safe. Next edition will be in June 2017. See you there! There were that many attractions and fun that I was not really willing to leave the place. I have never enjoyed so much.
Peddy Paper at Vale de Cambra The 6th edition of Colep Portugal’s “Peddy Paper” was held on 24th of September at the Vale de Cambra City Park in a very relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. It was a day well spent, filled with activities, with Sustainability being the main theme. Around 400 participants joined the initiative, divided into 23 teams, and were supported by 25 members of the event’s organisation. This get-together within an informal environment was thoroughly enjoyed by all who participated. We had an early start at 09h00, and the day took off with warm-up exercises to boost all the participants’ energy. All the activities, regardless of their level of difficulty, were successfully achieved by all the teams. After the conclusion of all the activities, there was a buffet lunch with live music and entertainment together with a magic show. After accounting for all the scores, the three winning teams were announced, being awarded a visit to Passadiços do Paiva in Arouca on 15th of October. At the end of the day, all participants, although tired, headed home with a wide smile on their faces and a sense of accomplishment. This was the first time that I participated in this initiative and I really enjoyed it. It was a fun moment where everybody, regardless of their job function, was able to be together, talking and sharing ideas in an informal environment. I am excited to do this again! Tiago Gonçalves, Production Manager, Packaging Division LOOKING INSIDE FOR BEST PRACTICES Sharing Knowledge “Technical webinars” is a project of Marketing and Innovation department - online presentation provided monthly via Skype by M&I members from around the world to ourselves and other interested parties/departments. By using this tool, knowledge is distributed worldwide in an easy manner, we share the information and experience between each other, which is especially useful in terms of new technologies or product categories. Webinars are divided into three phases: . 1A (theoretical part – basics); . 1B (theoretical part – advanced); . 2 (practical part – ie. scale-up); . Presentation lasts 1 hour and covers one chosen topic such as Body Spray, Antiperspirants, Sun Care, etc., at the time. They are scheduled until the end of 2016 and planned to continue in 2017 with new topics as innovations will come. It was a fun morning with my friends. During the afternoon, there was a lot of socialising and entertainment. In the future, the information from webinars might be translated to the modern e-learning form that will be easily accessible for any dedicated person within the company.
