COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT<br />
Baylor Scott & White Health and McLane’s Children’s Hospital received recognition as<br />
Big Red Community Partner from the Belton ISD Board for their work with the BISD<br />
students that they host every spring!<br />
BSW Residents Peterson Monestime, Tram Tran, and Rolake Kuye collaborated with<br />
First Presbyterian Church of Dallas to conduct a medical mission trip to Haiti January<br />
7 th –January 14 th . The trip was a truly unforgettable experience as they were able to<br />
collaborate with health professionals from various disciplines to provide healthcare to<br />
1165 patients in the city of Ft. Liberte and two rural villages. In addition, the residents<br />
assisted with mentorship of high school students, and food distributions to needy<br />
families. The mission trip was a success, and instilled the importance of participating<br />
in healthcare outreach programs not only in the community, but globally.<br />
