Enterprise beans are the <strong>Java</strong> <strong>EE</strong> components that implement Enterprise <strong>Java</strong>Beans (EJB)<br />

technology. Enterprise beans run in the EJB container, a runtime environment within the<br />

Application Server, as shown in Figure 29–1.<br />
