Dear PreciousOne,
The LORD says; I AM giving you a new perspective and renewed hope.
Listen, I have made all things new for you and your household... says the Lord. I
have renewed my hope and have brightened a new light and a fresh divine
anointing of My Spirit. I shall pour out my My Spirit afresh and a new upon you
and your household and give you My Joy that is unshakable and never ending. I
am giving you a vivid direction and a reaf rmed hope for now and the future. I
Am your comfort, hope, peace, and I will never render you hopeless and
wondering!. Failure is not part of your destiny, but joy unspeakable and
laughter. Come and sit at my feet and have fellowship with me, for I will cause
your heart to sing and rejoice forever. I will open My hand wide and give you
double of what the devil has stolen from you all the past years, declares the
LORD. I will give you a renewed strength and will perfect the songs in your heart
of honour and appreciation for all the wonderful things I have released onto
you, says the LORD.
In 2017, IT IS A DONE DEAL!! Many blessings upon blessings are yours as you
depend on me as your great provider who has never forsaken you. I AM the good
shepherd and your wandering days in the wilderness and mourning are OVER
says the LORD.
All of us face dif culties in our lives. But we can have victory over them if we
keep our eyes on God. Encouraging yourself in the Lord is part of how you go
about recovering your joy, not the shallow, mercurial feeling of happiness, but
deep, abiding joy, which can be present even in the midst of sorrow.
Wherever you are, whatever you re facing in this new year, I encourage you to
begin to give God praise. Praising God replaces hopelessness with hope.
Praising God for His goodness dispels doubt and unbelief. Praising God will
carry you from sickness to health, from despair to joy, and from bondage to
liberty. You see, praise and defeat cannot live in the same house. When you
praise God in faith, nothing will be impossible to you (Luke 1:37)!
Draw closer to God. Experience the presence of the Holy Spirit every day and be
Today's Scripture
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He
leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a
table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup
runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell
in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalm 23:1-6
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
When you say, "The Lord is my shepherd," you acknowledge your dependence
upon Him, His ownership of you, and your personal relationship with Him.
You prayed this prayer as a kid and even as an adult. It's one of the most
powerful prayer of all time.
But you must have a relationship with the Lord to qualify to call Him your
Shepherd. A sheep is under the care of the shepherd and follows the
shepherd. You must be submitted to the Lord as your shepherd and follow
Him. You should not live any way you want and go wherever you want. You
must follow the Lord and be under His care. Then you have the promise that
you shall not want or lack anything because the Lord will take care of you like a
shepherd.
When the Lord is your shepherd He will nourish you and enable you to
experience peace and rest. When the Lord is your shepherd He restores your
soul. When your soul is discouraged or cast down within you He will revive
you. He will preserve your soul. He will re ne you and purify you and cause
you to walk in the right path. You need not drown in that valley of tears
because the Lord is there to comfort you and heal your broken heart. He will
bring renown and honour to your life especially before the eyes of your
enemies who want to humiliate you.
When the Lord is our Shepherd He will reward you by causing goodness and
mercy to follow you all the days of our life. There is no doubt about it because
His word says surely it will happen. You need not chase a er goodness and
mercy and run desperately a er it. You need only to follow the Lord as your
Shepherd and He will make goodness and mercy to follow you like a shadow
all the days of our life.
All these blessings can be yours when you submit your life into the hands of
the Lord as your Shepherd and follow Him faithfully.
Prayer
For The Day
Father God, thank you for
another day to praise
you. Thank You for being
my good Shepherd. Today
I humbly come to You,
giving thanks for loving
me; the sheep of your
pasture. I am grateful I
can trust You to be
present in all
circumstances of my life.
Thank You for leading me
into the place of rest.
Restore my soul. Renew
my joy. Heal my heart as I
surrender every area of
my life to You. In the
mighty name of Jesus!
Amen.
February 2
Today's Scripture
“You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your
right hand there are pleasures forever.”
Psalm 16:11
JOY IN HIS PRESENCE
There is something always missing in the lives of so many of God's children,
and it is called JOY. God's desire is that we would experience fullness of joy,
and rivers of pleasure.
In God's Presence there is Protection, Provisions and also His Promises. You
cannot enjoy these things fully without being in the Presence of God. When
you have Gods presence with you, you need nothing more, and you should not
settle for anything lesser. The presence of God is the most real thing you ever
encounter. You go from strength to strength when you learn to stay in the
presence of God all the time, not only when you are in need but at any given
breath.
Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life that does not depend on your
circumstances. It doesn t matter how dark it gets, it doesn t matter what
negative things happen to you. If you have the joy of the Lord that doesn t come
from any outside source, but the presence of the Living God, nothing can take
it away from you. That s the kind of joy I am talking about!
When you stay in God's presence the fruit of your lip are praise, thanksgiving,
adoration, worship, and gratitude. Doubts are gone, fears are gone, unsettled
questions are gone. They do not exist in the holy place. He will not withhold no
good thing to those who dwell in His presence, He carries them from strength
to strength in His presence and they will be forever singing praises in the His
presence.
In the presence of the Lord where there s fullness of joy. Jesus said, Your
heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. (John 16:22). God's
joy gives you strength and empowers you to walk through any dif culty
you may be facing.
Prayer
For The Day
Dear Lord, I thank you
for reminding me one
more time about the
importance of staying in
your presence. Thank
you for all the provisions,
protection and the
promises awaiting me in
your presence. I ask Lord
that in time of dif cult
trials in my life I will still
remain in your presence
to enable me maintain
my joy. Pour out your joy
on me today and always.
In the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
February 3
Today's Scripture
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive
crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no
cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
Habakkuk 3:17-18
TURN YOUR PRESSURE INTO PRAISE
Have you ever been under pressure? I mean, real pressure. The type that
makes you sweats and keeps you up at night.
Listen to me, the greater your pressure, the greater your praise. The more
stress you have, the more energy you need to release. The more trouble you
are facing, the more you need to cry out to God.
If your situation is ever going to change you have to learn to turn your pressure
into praise. If your midnight is to ever turn into day, you have to learn to turn
your pressure into praise. If your mourning is to ever turn into dancing, you
have to learn to turn your pressure into praise. The more uncontrollable your
pressure, the more radical your praise ought to be. When the pressure is so
intense and you feel like you are losing your mind, go way down deep into the
inner recesses of your soul and praise as if you just lost your mind.
No matter how dif cult things may seem, God has a plan to bring you out into
a place of victory. Your praise is the bridge that will carry you into your
promise land. The Bible tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people,
and when the presence of God manifests, the enemy has to ee!!
At the end of the day, you may not be able to prevent the pressures of life from
invading your world, but you sure do have control what you do with those
pressures. Turn them into praise!
Always remember to be like Habakkuk and know tough times will come and
that they re only times for you to grow, build your strength and prepare you for
what s next in your amazing journey of life.
Prayer
For The Day
Lord Jesus, I thank you
for the good times and I
thank you for the hard
times. I thank you for
teaching and ministering
to me to seek and Praise
you ALL TIMES and not
sometimes. Today I
choose to rejoice in You
no matter what my
circumstances look like, I
know You are greater
than my circumstances. I
trust that You will ful ll
every one of Your
promises in the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 4
Today's Scripture
“.......we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of
abundance.”
Psalm 66:12
TRIED AND TESTED
I want you to know and understand that you are closer to your breakthrough
than you think! You are closer to a place of abundance than you have ever
been before! Don't quit on the edge of your breakthrough, one more step can
put you in the middle of your promised blessing.
If all you have is a promise I have good news for you, A promise is all you
need! Yes, I said, A promise is all you need! All Abraham had was a promise
and Isaac was born when he was a hundred years old and his wife Sarah was
ninety! All Joseph had was a promise, but that promise brought him out of the
pit, out of the prison, and nally into the palace.
You are about to enter into the greatest season of your life. God is about to
move in your family, business, nances and in your own personal life in a
greater way than you have ever experienced in the past.
In spite of the fact that in the natural, nothing seems to be changing, you still
believe, If God said it He will do it and if God spoke it He will bring it to pass!
God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should
repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He
not make it good? Numbers 23:19. Massive breakthroughs will come in your
life as you continue to li up the name of Jesus and trust Him in all things.
Remember, God rewards the people who seek a er Him. So keep expecting,
keep believing because the God of the breakthrough is ready to overwhelm
you with His goodness today! Soon, your doors will swing open, chains will
fall off, and those standing by will marvel at your life. When you become a
testimony of God's faithfulness during painful transitions, not only are you
blessed, but others will observe your breakthrough and will be touched by
your release.
Prayer
For The Day
Father in heaven, thank
you for your promise to
bring me to a place of
abundance. Today I open
my mind and heart to
You. I choose to believe
that You have a good plan
for me. I'm trusting that
You, the God of the
breakthrough, are
working mightily on my
behalf. Help me to live a
life pleasing to You as I
wait for Your hand to
move mightily in my life.
In the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
If you have been through the re and water, your next stop is a place of rich
ful llment or abundance!
FEBRUARY
February 5
Today's Scripture
You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You
have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!!
Job 1:10
DIVINE PROTECTION IS YOUR PORTION
Job had to face all kinds of adversity and tough times. But those dif culties
were not a surprise to God. Satan's attacks against Job didn't catch God off
guard. The Scripture says the enemy had to ask permission from God before
he could touch Job. He couldn't bring one thing against him unless God
allowed him to act.
This should serve as an encouragement to you. When you face problems,
there is a real peace when you understand God is in complete control, not just
of your circumstances, but God is in control of your enemies. That means
there is no person that can keep you down, no sickness too great, no trouble or
calamity that can keep you from ultimately living in victory.
God will always cause you to triumph. The bottom line is this; God is still on
the throne, and He has promised that if you will stay in faith, no weapon
formed against you is ever going to prosper.
One clear fact is that if you are in Christ, nothing can harm you outside of Gods
design. That does not mean that you can t be harmed or won t suffer, but you
do know that The Lord is your keeper and does not slumber or sleep. Satans
desire to destroy you is nothing to God. Satan needs permission from God
before he can tempt or harm you.
As a child of God, you have a secret place, the shelter of the Almighty. If you are
walking in an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, you are walking under
the shadow of the Almighty. God covers us like a hen protects her chicks with
her feathers. Your faith in God is the shelter of your tent. God is your refuge
and strength. If we are in Him, there is nothing that can make you afraid. The
Bible makes it clear that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Prayer
For The Day
Father, thank You for
walking with me through
every season of life. I
thank You for being a
shield of protection
around me, for going
before me and preparing
the way. Thank you for
prospering me in every
area of my life. Keep me
close to You and give me
strength as I move
forward into the victory
You have for me in the
mighty name of Jesus!
Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 6
Today's Scripture
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give
yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is
not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
DON T LET NOTHING STOP YOU!
We all mess up. We say things we later wish we could take back. We do things
we wish we could undo. We miss opportunities. This happens in all spheres of
our lives. Sometimes we make mistakes at work, sometimes we hurt the
people we love, sometimes we disappoint God. And because we all mess up,
we like to start over to turn our backs on the past, to look forward, to hope that
this time round, things are going to be better. And believers we have been
given the ability to persevere and always be victorious through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
There is no person that hasn t sinned a er they were saved. The difference is
only that some run from God and others run to God. I don t care what you ve
done. If you understand the Grace of God, and that His forgiveness is
unfailing, that sin will actually motivate you to get to Jesus. Don t let it stop
you. Nothing should stop you from worshiping God, not people, not our past,
not anything.
God is not looking for perfect people. If He was, we would all be disquali ed.
He is looking for people that have a heart that's right. If you have a heart
toward God and you get up each day with a commitment to do your best, you
don't have to live guilty and condemned. And when those old thoughts come
telling you, You don't deserve God's blessings, just say, You're exactly right. I
know I don't deserve it. But that's what God's mercy is all about.
Trust God with your past and future and commit your present to his purpose.
Then watch and see how God provides abundantly for you and through you so
that you can express the joy of the Lord and His grace in your life.
Prayer
For The Day
Father, thank You for
empowering me by Your
Holy Spirit. Thank You
for giving me new life
and the opportunity to
start afresh. I choose to
let go of the past. I won t
let it de ne me and I
won't let it stop me, but I
will let Your truth de ne
me and lead me into
victory in the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
February 7
Today's Scripture
“Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, “Their gods are gods of the hills.
Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will
be stronger than they.”
1 Kings 20:23
GOD OF THE MOUNTAIN AND THE VALLEY
Preciousone, I want you to know that our God is the God of the mountains, but He is
also the God of the valleys! No matter where you are, He is God. He is faithful on the
mountain and in the valley. When you are in the valley, the devil will do all he can to
convince you that God is not as good to you in that valley as He is on the mountain.
He will do all he can to make you think that God is not the God of the valley, but do
not listen to him. The truth is that, every Christian will go through a valley of one
sort or another, but God is always there with us.
God's love and His power are with you whether we are on the mountaintop or in the
valley deep. He is Jehovah-Nissi. Praise God that He is in your valleys as well as your
mountains. When you're down, when you're feeling low, when you're defeated,
when you're sick, when you're weak, when you're depressed, when you're
discouraged, when you're doubting; GOD IS STILL THERE! He has promised to
never leave you nor forsake you but to be with you until the end! His promises are
true regardless of how we feel! The same way you praise God on the mountain top, is
the same way you should praise Him in the valley.
Many times in our lives we nd ourselves in the middle of the valley, we are weak,
tired, empty and alone. We feel so far from the presence and the anointing of God.
And when we call on Him we feel like we get a busy signal. Be rest assured God is
always with you, regardless of your location and situation. On the mountain top,
God is there as you bask in His presence and enjoy the best things of this life. In the
valley He is there, to help your faith to grow, to mold you into a useful vessel and to
help you mature and be strong.
Not only will He be God in your valley but He will lead you through. So whatever you
are going through right now, know that God is right there in your valley with you. He
is holding you in His arms and carrying you through the valley. Victory is already
yours. Just as the Israelites were also victorious in the valley, so will you be because
the God of the valleys is right there with you!
Always remember; For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley. When
things go wrong, He'll make them right. And the God of the good times is still God in
the bad times.
10
Prayer
For The Day
Father God, thank you for
being right in valley with
me, holding me in His
arms and carrying me
through the valley. Thank
you for reassuring me
that you will always be
with me and will never
leave me nor forsake me
in the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 8
Today's Scripture
When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding. Then our God
will fight for us.
Nehemiah 4:20
TOO SOON TO QUIT
God want to give you great and mighty things. God wants to ll your lap with
abundant blessing to over owing. But He also wants you to work and ght for
them because only then are they desires of your heart.
The people rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem with Nehemiah faced constant
threats. They didn't pretend the opposition didn't exist. They made
preparations. They had defense plan, and they didn't let danger keep them
from the work. If they had allowed themselves to worry about their enemies,
they would have stopped working and the opposition would have won!
Sometimes we Christians miss out on the blessings of God because of lack of
commitment and faith. We are sometimes unwilling to stay the course when
confronted with criticism or opposition. Don't be one of these believers. Dig in
your heels, stand your grant, and be determined to ght the good ght of your
faith! Stay focused and ready to step up to what God has called you to do.
God is more interested in what you re becoming than what s happening to you.
He o en allows trials, troubles, tribulations, and problems in your life to teach
you diligence, determination, and character. The problem you re going
through right now? It s a test of your faithfulness. Will you continue to serve
God even when life stinks?
Whatever your step of faith needs to be, take it today. As you do your part, God
is ready to ght your battles for you. He promises that no weapon formed
against you will ever prosper, and we should press forward with con dence,
knowing that if God is for us who would dare to be against us?
God told Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and of good courage, do not
fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with
you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
Prayer
For The Day
God, thank You for Your
goodness, grace and
mercy upon me. I choose
to receive Your Word by
faith today, knowing that
You have good things in
store for me. Thank You
for moving on my behalf
and leading me into the
abundant life You have
prepared in the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 9
Today's Scripture
“Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
GOD GOES WHERE YOU GO
How encouraging and comforting it is to know that wherever we go God is
there with us. We nd ourselves in certain situations and we wonder if God is
paying attention. We may feel so alone and even depressed. We can't feel God's
presence, and we need His guidance and help. Sometimes it's hard to be
strong, and courageous. But for us to feel His presence and know that He is
guiding us; we as His children need to believe in His promises and learn to be
strong and courageous. God makes His promises and He keeps them.
The people close to you many a times don't really understand what you are
going through. But God does and HE CARES. God is telling you exactly what He
told Joshua, to be strong and to have courage. Then He told him a wonderful
truth: "The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Yes, that's right
wherever! We don't have to feel all alone. God is with you. He knows you by
your name and He is working out the problems, and you don't even realize it.
You need to come to that place where you will allow Him to take hold of your
hand and you in turn will let your hand remain rmly in His hand. That is
when you will begin to appreciate all He is doing for you and know that He is
always with you.
I want to encourage you to hold on to your faith, rely on it, lean on it. Know that
it is natural to feel inadequate, normal to have apprehension, ordinary to be
unsure of yourself, but be strong and of good courage, be not frightened,
neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
For you to be strong, and courageous you must stay the path...you must not
turn...you must not compromise...you must not become distracted....you
must not become detoured from what the will of God is.
Faithfulness and focus are the keys.
Prayer
For The Day
Father God, thank you for
being with me wherever I
go and thank you for
knowing me by my name.
I choose to believe in
your promises. Help me
to be strong and
courageous. I will stay on
the path of faithfulness
and will continue to trust
in you in the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
Today's Scripture
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though
they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 37:23-24
THE STEPS OF THE GODLY
When you allow the Lord to order your steps, you have something to shout
about because when He order your steps, you will be blessed going in and
going out, you will be blessed in the city and in the eld, you will be the head
and not the tail, you will be above ,and not beneath. And when God blesses you
like that you ought to praise God with a joyful noise!!
Now it must be understood that having your steps ordered by the Lord does
not mean that everything will be rosy and smooth for you all the times. While
the Lord is ordering your steps, there will be times you will face some
problems, obstacles, setbacks, sickness, pain, disappointments, heartbreaks
and failures. But through it all, through sunshine and rain, while the Lord is
ordering your steps, just know and believe that all things are going to work
together for the good to them that love the Lord, and is called according to his
purpose.
You see, when you allow the Lord to order your steps, there will be peace.
When you allow the Lord to order your steps, there will be joy. When you allow
the Lord to order your steps, there will be power. When you allow the Lord to
order your steps, there will be victory.
You got to believe and know that God is able to order your steps through your
problems, through your disappointments, through your heartbreaks, through
your pain, or whatever. Just know and believe that no matter what you face in
this life, if you allow the Lord to order your step, you will have the victory!
Prayer
For The Day
how bad I may have
messed up, you are able
to straighten up my life. I
FEBRUARY
February 11
Today's Scripture
“I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close.
You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.”
Revelation 3:8
GOD IS A DOOR OPENER
The God we serve is a God who opens doors for us. And when He opens a door ,
no man can shut it. We may try to open doors in our own strength and fail
because they are too strong for us. Sometimes we may succeed in opening a
door in our own strength only to nd that somebody has closed it again.
When you face such situations you should allow the Lord to open these doors.
His mighty strength and power will open doors so that no one can shut them
again. He will go before you and break down every hindrance and break down
gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron . You should not struggle in vain in
our own strength against these strong barriers, but instead allow the Lord to
open the doors for you.
The Lord parted the Red Sea to make His people pass through it. But He closed
it when the Egyptians tried to use the way He had opened for His people. The
doors that the Lord opens for you cannot be used by our enemies. The way of
escape for you will become a way of destruction for your enemies. God opens
doors when you stand for what is right and God opens doors when you seek to
stand rm in His will.
May this scripture inspire you today to know that the GOD you serve knows
and sees ALL YOUR DEEDS and He has opened a door for you that no one on
earth can close. Regardless of how little your strength may be, He sees it, He
knows it. You have always kept His word and never denied Him. Your labour
and perseverance in the Lord will never be in vain. Keep pressing and pushing
and you will soon be walking into that OPENED DOOR no one can shut.
God opens doors when we stand for what is right and God opens doors when
we seek to stand rm in His will.
Prayer
For The Day
Lord Jesus, I come to you
with a heart full of
gratitude. Thank you for
opening my ears to hear
from you today and my
eyes to see the the doors
that you have opened
more strength to stay
faithful and committed to
you and also to keep your
word well rooted in my
February 12
Today's Scripture
“This is what the LORD says-- He who made a way through the sea, a path through the
mighty waters.”
Isaiah 43:16
HE IS A WAY MAKER
God will make a way,
where there seems to be no way;
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for me.
Our God is a way maker and He will de nitely make a way for you where there
seems to be no way. Are you willing to believe that God will make a way where
there seems to be no way? He works in ways we cannot see...He will make a
way! God will make a way in time of your trouble, your trials, your temptation,
your trusting, and your transgressions. No matter how bad the situation is,
God can make a way!
You may be facing a dead end right now; nancial, emotional, or relational but
if you will trust God and keep on moving in faith, even when you don t see a
way, He will make a way.
Proverbs 4:18 says, The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining
ever brighter till the full light of day . Very son you ll see Gods purpose behind
the path He speci cally chose for you. Put your trust in a God who can make a
way even when there seem to be no way. Obey Him and do as He says.
However, be patient. God knows what He s doing. God knows what is best for
you. He can see the end result. You can t. I believe that God will always make a
way where there is no way. I believe that if we will walk in obedience to the
commandments of God, if we will follow His counsel, He will open a way even
where there appears to be no way.
God is never caught without a clue how to solve a problem. He always has a
plan. When you are at the end of your road, turn to Him... Take the step of faith
and walk on... and know that there is a way out. To God, it is not the end of the
road but the beginning of a new way.
Prayer
For The Day
O Lord, forgive me for
leaning on my own
understanding and
trusting in my own ways.
Guide and teach me to
understand your ways
better. Thank you for
being Jehovah Jireh, our
Provider and a way
maker. Thank you for
always making a way
where there seems to be
no way. in the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 13
Today's Scripture
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about
your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more
important than clothes? …. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry
about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:25, 34
QUIT THE WORRY
Any time you take God out of the center of your life and put anything else
there, no matter how good it is, you re going to worry. If you re worrying about
tomorrow, you can t enjoy today. You miss today s blessings. It s OK to plan for
tomorrow, but you have to live for today. Also, when you re always worried
about tomorrow, the future gets overwhelming. But God will give you the
grace and strength you need when you get there. Right now, you only need
enough power for today.
Our gracious God does promise blessing upon blessing. Each new day is a new
day for the Lord to provide for His children. We have to admit that our loving
Lord does just that. Our heavenly Father gives us all that we need and even
more. David the psalmist said; "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never
seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always
generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed" (Psalm 37:25-26).
Still lled with worry? Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares
about you. 1 Peter 5:7. God values you even more than the rest of His creation.
Birds, who don t labor at all, have adequate food to eat. Even owers, which
only live for a short time, have beautiful "clothing." If God provides for them,
doesn t it stand to reason that He will care for you, since you are "much more"
valuable?
Worry represents a failure to trust in God as our Father. The moment you
worry, it's an indirect way of saying you don't trust God can provide for you.
Children don t worry about where their food or clothing or shelter is going to
come from. They just trust their parents. You need to trust God in the same
way. You aren t in control, but you can place your trust in Someone who is. You
don t know the future. But you can place your trust in Someone who does. And
He is God.
Prayer
For The Day
Thank you God for being
my great provider and my
only dependable God.
Forgive me for the many
days, months and years
of worries. I will put my
trust in you and depend
on you for the rest of my
life in the mighty name
of Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 14
Today's Scripture
“Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you,
according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” Genesis 18:14
“There is nothing too hard for thee.”
Jeremiah 32:17
NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THEE
Have you ever heard someone make a promise that seemed unrealistic? Maybe you
even laughed to yourself when you heard it. God likes to make promises that seem like
they would be impossible to keep, at least, from our human point of view, but God
keeps ALL His promises, not some but ALL because He is GOD and doesn't lie.
Do you know what 89 year old Sarah did when she overheard God saying that she
would be a mother? She laughed to herself. A er I am worn out and my master is old,
will I now have this pleasure? Sarah didn t believe it. She doubted it. She didn t think
that God could do something like that. And you know what? There s a little bit of Sarah
inside YOU and I.
Even though Sarah doubted Him, a year later, at the age of 90, she had a baby. Can you
imagine an older woman walking around with a baby? Oh, is that your grandson?
No, this is my son. What? But that s how God works. He loves to do this. He loves to
come to His people, people like you. He loves to make promises to you that seem way
beyond any possibility of happening. And then, as you struggle with your doubts, He
loves to forgive you and strengthen you as you look for God to keep His promises. God
is the same God who blessed Abraham and Sarah, a merciful and forgiving, patient
and powerful God, who does all these great things, just because He loves you.
Stop asking questions, stop raising doubts, and simply BELIEVE. What do we call that,
when you believe Gods impossible promises? We call that faith. Faith is believing that
nothing is too hard for the Lord. Faith is believing, even when everything in the world
tells you, God is lying .
And so, during those times in your life when you are struggling to believe the promises
of God, when you nd yourself in a very challenging situation, when you start
doubting that God is really going to keep His promises, during those times, remember
God says, Is anything too hard for the Lord? Absolutely there is nothing too hard for
God! Look past your circumstances today and look to God. The one who promised is
faithful, and He will bring it to pass!
Prayer
For The Day
Father, thank You for
your faithfulness to me.
Today I choose to trust in
You. I know that You will
bring to pass every
promise You've made. I
repent and ask for
forgiveness of doubting
you and doing things my
on way. May You ll me
with greater faith that
believes that nothing is
too hard for You Lord in
the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 15
Today's Scripture
“We love because He first loved us.”
1 John 4:19
WE LOVE BECAUSE GOD FIRST LOVED US
Today is Saint Valentine s Day! It s a day in which we celebrate Love. It s a day
that for many people is the only time of the year that they convey their love to
another. It s a day that will mainly be celebrated between two people, two
sweethearts and the love we express on February 14 is 100 times more than the
love we express and share a whole year.
The only reason you can love God or anybody else is because God rst loved
you. And He showed that love by sending Jesus Christ to Earth to die for you.
He showed that love by creating you. He showed that love by giving you
everything you have in life. We love because God rst loved us.
How s your love life? That is, how well do you love people? How well do you
demonstrate love to people? Do you demonstrate love when you feel wronged?
This is something that we all need to do because our Lord Jesus did the same
thing.
Jesus said that the rst and greatest command is this: Love the Lord your God
with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength Matthew
22:37. start by loving God Himself.
Gods love is unconditional, unquali ed and without conditions which makes
it absolutely unlike the love we o en show. If you want to learn how to love
other people, you ve got to rst understand and feel how much God loves you.
When you feel that unconditional love, you re not going to be as angry as
you ve been in the past. You re going to be more patient. You re going to be
more forgiving. You re going to be more merciful. You re going to show other
people love and grace.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has
been born of God and knows God. And that is you, yes, you! Believe it,
beloved! It s true.
Prayer
For The Day
Father God, thank You for
another day to praise
You. Thank You for loving
me, for empowering me,
and for being the
ultimate example of love.
Have Your way in my
heart so that I can be a
shining light of Your love
to the people around me.
Help me follow Your
example and show the
power of your love. Let
everything I do bring
honor to You in the
mighty name of Jesus!
Amen.
Today's Scripture
“For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? Who among the sons of the
mighty can be likened unto the Lord?”
Psalms 89:6
NOBODY LIKE JESUS
NOBODY BUT JESUS!!
Of all the people we know of today, there is only One Person that we really
need to know. Other men are here and then gone, but Jesus will always be.
Who will be le when time is done? Nobody But Jesus!
Preciousone, hear me today; When the cloud of time rolls away, Mohammed
gures will be gone; gospel stars will be gone; rock stars and country music
stars will be gone; movie stars will be gone! There will be nobody le besides
Jesus! Who should we trust in? Who can we count on? Who should we regard as
the most important gure in our lives, then? Who should you surrender your
life to today? Your husband will be gone, your wife will be gone, that friend you
trust so much will be gone. There will be nobody le besides Jesus! Who
should we regard as the most important gure in our lives, then? I will tell
you:, NOBODY BUT JESUS!
He will never leave you, overlook you, forsake you, mislead you, or forget you.
He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, in every way. If you
fall, He will li you up. If you fail, He will forgive. If you are weak, He is strong.
If you get lost, He is the way. If you hurt, He is your healing. When you are
broke He will mend you. If you are blind He will lead you. When you are
hungry, He will feed you. If you face trials, He ll be with you. When you face
persecution, He will shield you. When you have a problem He will comfort
you. When you are facing loss He will provide for you. Hallelujah!!
Wouldn t it be good today for you to give the Lord the greatest gi you have to
give; yourself? Renew your commitment to Him today. There really is nobody
like Jesus. Let s honour Him because that is the plan truth!!
You can t impeach Him, He s not going to resign, and you can t vote Him out.
There was nobody before Him and there will be nobody a er Him. Travel
where you desire and investigate all the religions of the world. You will nd
There s NOBODY LIKE JESUS There's NOBODY BUT JESUS!
FEBRUARY
February 17
Today's Scripture
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22
OUR FAITHFUL GOD
Today we still take con dence and rejoice that the Lords compassion does not
fail, that they are new every morning. When the sun comes up in the morning,
His goodness, love and favor are new, creating new opportunities for your life.
Gods faithfulness means that everything He says and does is certain. He is
100% reliable, 100% of the time. He does not fail, forget, falter, change, or
disappoint. He says what He means and means what He says, and therefore
does everything He says He will do.
Today's verse tells us that God's mercies are new every morning. He's not ever
going to run out of compassion. He's not ever going to run out of forgiveness.
He's not ever going to say, "Well, this is the last time I'm going to give you
mercy." No, you can have a new beginning every single day! In Psalm 5:3 David
asks of the Lord: "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I
bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." David was a man a er God's
own heart. He knew God and saw the Lord do incredible and miraculous
things in his life. What you pursue in the morning sets the tone for your whole
day.
God, who is greater than all, sees to it that Satan does not have too much of an
advantage. He knows how to deliver you out of temptation! Proverbs 15:3 The
eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
I Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to
man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can
bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can
stand up under it.
No matter how much we've accomplished or how many mistakes we've made,
whether we're resting or facing huge life challenges . . . God promises that He
will make your life new every day
Prayer
For The Day
Heavenly Father, thank
you for your great Mercy,
Grace and Compassion.
Thank you for being my
great provider. Thank
You for cleansing me of
all unrighteousness.
Thank You for making
me new. I love You and
bless Your Holy Name. In
Jesus mighty name!
Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 18
Today's Scripture
“Then he said, "Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for
understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in
heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer.”
Daniel 10:12
IT MAY BE DELAYED, BUT IT'S NOT DENIED
We all have goals, dreams, and visions in life. We pray about them and try to
hold fast to them, because with faith in Jesus we know they will come to pass.
And, when they do, it is the most wonderful feeling. A dream becoming
reality, a prayer answered, and our faith in God strengthened even more.
But there are times the enemy will cloud the vision that God gives you. He may
not be able to read your mind, but he can hear your words. He sees your
actions and reactions and knows your "hot buttons". He knows just what
buttons to push, and when to push them to get your mind off the vision. He
would like nothing better than to steal your dreams. But he can't steal your
dreams, unless you let him. This is why it's so important for us to hold fast our
confession of faith and cloth yourself with the spirit of humility.
Disappointment can open a door for the enemy to slip in and "steal, kill and
destroy" (John 10:10), our hopes and dreams. There is a song entitled "When
God is Silent", that I truly love. It talks about how when God is silent He is
giving us more time to pray. If you're praying and praying and praying for
something and it just hasn't arrived yet, keep praying! PUSH! Pray Until
Something Happens. Then pray some more.
If you believe God is working all things out to your bene t, you have to believe
His timing is part of that. He wouldn't have given His only Son if He wasn't
going to keep His promise to us.
We have no idea what the Lord is doing on our behalf to answer our prayers.
We cannot see it, but rest assured His is working it out. What He requires from
you is faith to believe that the Word of God is true. Do not let the enemy make
you BELIEVE your prayer has been denied, just because you FEEL the answer
isn't coming. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus, and keep praying in faith,
remembering to thank Him and praise Him for all He has done. Remember:
GOD IS FAITHFUL!
Prayer
For The Day
Heavenly Father, today I
choose to trust in You.
Thank you for teaching
me patience and
perseverance. I trust your
faithfulness and I release
frustration over the
dreams and desires in my
heart, knowing that You
know what s best for me.
I choose to trust in Your
timing because You are
faithful, and I will bless
You in all things in my
life in the mighty name
of Jesus! Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 19
Today's Scripture
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He
will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty”.
Daniel 3:17
WHEN LIFE TURNS UP THE HEAT
When the three Hebrew teenagers, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refused
to bow down to the King's golden idol, he got so furious that he had the furnace
heated up seven times hotter than normal so he could throw them in! That's what
happens when you're close to a great victory. It seems that just as you get past one
obstacle, something else poops up. Why is that? Because the enemy knows you're
close to your victory and he's trying to throw you off course. This is the time when
many people give up and get sour; simply because they don't know their heritage,
they lose sight of the victory God has promised His children.
Notice that God didn t deliver them from the re; He delivered them through the
re. Maybe you are going through the re today. Know that God is with you. He s
doing a work in you, and He s displaying His glory through you. Remember, on the
other side of the re is a place of abundance and blessing! Stand strong and see the
ful llment of the promises He has in store for you!
I love the fact that those three teenage boys weren't panicking either. They weren't
full of anxiety. They didn't get upset or become afraid. No, they were in complete
peace. They knew that God was sill on the throne. They trusted that He had a plan
and He was going to work out that plan for their good and His ultimate glory. A
faith that is tested by re is a faith that can be trusted.
When the king went to check on them, he was very confused. He said, Didn't we
tie up and throw three men in here? I see four men united and one looks like the
Son of the Living God. The scripture says God brought them through the re
without even having them smell of smoke.
You may feel like you're in the re today. You may feel like the heat is being turned
up, that everything is coming against you. Be encouraged, because there's
something great in store just on the horizon. When the heat gets turned up, it
means that you're close to your breakthrough! If you will stay in faith, God will do
for you what He did for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He'll be with you in
the re, and He'll bring you out without even the smell on you!
Prayer
For The Day
Father in heaven, thank
You for delivering and
saving me. I stand strong
no matter what I may be
facing, knowing that You
are with me. Thank You
for protecting me
through the re and for
leading me to the place of
abundance and blessing
You have prepared for
me. In the mighty name
of Jesus!Amen.
FEBRUARY
February 20
Today's Scripture
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all
your ways acknowledge him, and He will direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
TRUSTING GOD NO MATTER WHAT
Do you think God was surprised when you were born? Did God look at you and
said: "Who is that?" Of course not. The Bible says that before you were born,
God know you. God knows who you are and why He put you here. You are not
an accident.
There are some people who argue with God. "When God made me He made a
big mistake!" "My life has no meaning." There are others who get angry with
God. They refuse to set the sail and dri going nowhere in life. Without God in
your life your life has no ultimate purpose. You can only know Gods plan by
accepting Him as Your guide and Captain and Master of your life. God provides
the ship of His salvation and grace. It is available. You have to get in the boat
and you have to set the sails. You have to take some initiative.
Are you fearful about your future? Give your future to God. Live one day at a
time, completely surrendered to His will. The Bible teaches that God wants
good things for us. Just as parents wants good things for their children. Even
so God wants the best in life for you. Gods will does not mean living a hard and
frustrating life. God is for us and not against us. He wants us to have a life of joy
and ful llment.
Trust Jesus with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, and in
all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. You can get on
board Gods ship of life, set the sails by faith and ask Jesus to help you steer the
ship.
Preciousone, we must learn to trust God in every situation, not some
situations, but EVERY situation. We must trust God to be our God and not
anyone else or anything else. We must seek rst the kingdom of God and His
righteousness if we expect Him to be our God. When our path seems dark...
He is our light and our Salvation ... No matter what!
Prayer
For The Day
Father in heaven, today I
choose to put my trust in
You. I know You are a
good and faithful God,
and I trust that You have
my best interest at heart.
Help me stay focused on
Your goodness today. In
the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
Today's Scripture
“May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you
as He has promised!”
Deuteronomy 1:11
THOUSAND TIMES MORE
I love the Scripture in Deuteronomy that folds a blessing inside a promise!
That's God's desire and plan for you, to increase you, to promote you, to show
you favour. But sometimes this is so hard for us to imagine. We read, multiply
you a thousand times more, and our nite thinking just can't see how that is
possible. We say, There is no way. How can God do that for me? But I can tell
you from rsthand experience that God is not only able, but He wants to do
just that; multiply to you by thousands! The will and desire of God.
As a child of God, you belong to Christ. And since you belong to Him, you are
considered a spiritual seed of Abraham. You are a part of Gods Kingdom now,
and you have inherited all the promises of God! So, let this get down into your
heart God wants to make YOU a THOUSAND TIMES MORE!
When God says He wants to bless you a thousand times more, it's not just in
reference to materials things. God is talking to you about the depth and
breadth of your entire life That means EVERY AREA THAT CONCERNS YOU!
God has promised that you can have MORE and BETTER than you may have
ever imagined in EVERY area of your life How about a thousand times more
joy, a thousand times more peace, a thousand times more wisdom? In every
area of our lives, God desires to multiply you. This includes your health, your
home, your job, your nances, your relationship with Him, your relationship
with others, and so much more And the promise of Deuteronomy 1:11 is not
just to you but also to your children and your childrens children
By faith, see yourself in Christ so blessed, at peace, and protected in every area
of your life that you feel like you re on top of the world. By faith, see yourself at
a place in life that is higher than you ve ever been before, because that is what
Deuteronomy 1:11 promises you and always remember the God you serve is
a God of MORE THAN ENOUGH
Prayer
For The Day
God, thank You for Your
goodness, grace and
mercy upon me. I choose
to receive Your Word by
faith today, knowing that
You have good things in
store for me. Thank You
for moving on my behalf
and leading me into the
abundant life You have
prepared. In the mighty
name of Jesus! Amen.
Today's Scripture
“Be still, and know that I am God!”
Psalm 46:10
NO SHAKING... STAND STILL
You may nd yourself at a time in your life where all you can do, is just be still
and know that GOD IS GOD! Your situation may seem hopeless, and you may
feel overwhelmed and alone. And at times whatever you are facing cannot be
helped by mortal man.
The Father has a plan, though it's hard to see it now that you feel you're walking
all alone, but He is there no doubt about that. When the storm around you
rages, and you're tossed to and fro, when you're faced with life's decisions, not
sure which way to go, stand still and let God move.
Preciousone, when your enemies come against you STAND STILL! God has a
plan.
You may be powerless but He is all powerful
You may be helpless but He is a great help in a time of need
You may be fearful but He is fearless
You may be troubled but He will be triumphant
Though you are in the midst of the storm, though you are surrounded on every
side He is telling you to BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!!
If you aren t learning to depend on Him as your refuge, to draw on Him as your
resource, and to defer to Him as your ruler, when things are going smoothly,
you won t know how when trouble strikes. Crisis does not make a person;
crisis reveals a person. In a time of trial, you turn to what you trust. An
alcoholic turns to the bottle. An addict turns to drugs. A worldly person turns
to the worlds wisdom. A Christian should turn to the Lord. When trouble
strikes, He is suf cient to get you through.
May you be still and know that God is always with us. And may that news
inspire how you live, who you love and to follow Christ our Lord at all times.
Prayer
For The Day
Father in heaven, I
humbly come before You.
I choose to be still before
You. Speak to my heart so
I can know You more. Fill
me with Your peace as I
put my trust in You. In
the mighty name of
Jesus! Amen.
Today's Scripture
“Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their
distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.”
Psalm 107:28-29
STORMS OF LIFE
As a child of God always be prepared for Storms. Storms will come but Jesus will
be with us in the storms and He will calm the storms. Know that it is only in the
storms that we really know who Jesus is. I don t know what storms you ve been
through but I do know that all of us at some time or another have had an
experience in which we have felt our life to be so tiny, tossed around like that little
cargo ship in the middle of the wide ocean.
I am yet to think of anyone who has never been through any storm in their entire
life. Even Jesus had His own storms, how much more we His followers. Some of us
may even be facing the crisis of a storm right now and are not sure if we will ever
get out of it.
But I believe in this year, the year 2017, the winds are changing direction, and now
they are going to start propelling you forward. Due season is coming. It s not time
to sit back. It s not time to let up. It s time to press forward. It s time to rise up! Don t
grow weary while doing good. Keep doing good and don t lose heart because it s
your time, and it s your season!
The same way Jesus came through for the disciples by calming the storm and
spared their lives, the same way He will calm your storms for you. I want to
encourage you to look to the One that can bring calm to the troubled sea of your
life. He can take the darkest life and turn it into the brightest life one could ever
live. He wants to take care of our problems for us, but we must rely on Him. He
asked the disciples a simple question that I want to ask you this morning, and that
is where is your faith?
God never said that we wouldn t have dif culties, but He did promise we could
have peace in the midst of the storms. When you face adversities, one of the most
powerful things you can do is simply stay calm. When you are at peace, you are
displaying your faith in God. By your actions you re saying, God, I know You re
still on the throne. I know You re bigger than this problem. So keep peace in the
midst of your storms today. Trust that He is working behind the scenes. Keep your
heart open to Him because soon He will deliver you!
Prayer
For The Day
Thank You for Your
goodness and
faithfulness in my life.
Help me keep my heart
and mind focused on
You. No matter what
storm I may be facing, I
trust that You are
working behind the
scenes and ordering my
steps to the promise land
you have for me. In Jesus
Name. Amen.
Today's Scripture
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast
me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me
the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”
Psalms 51:10-12
A CLEAN HEART, O GOD
This Psalm was written by King David a er the prophet Nathan had gone to
him, a er his adulterous relationship with Bathsheba. David had committed a
great sin in the eyes of the Lord. David was a man a er Gods own heart but He
never took that for granted in anyway.
So David says, Purge me, purify me, wash me. The words he uses imply a
thorough scrubbing. And you can almost picture a mother with her child at
the shower scrubbing him until his skin literally shines and squeaks, getting
behind the ears, getting rid of every bit of dirt. David says, God, that s what I
want you to do to me. I ve gotten myself dirty. I ve been out messing with some
things I shouldn t have been messing with, and I m covered with lth. I need
for you to clean me up.
David didn t say, Change the way I behave. He says, Change my heart. It s
We can go through all the right motions without our heart being right, but if
the heart is right, everything else will fall into place. The most beautiful part of
this story is that God did that for David and He s willing to do the same for any
of us. Gods delights in having the opportunity to forgive. And when He
forgives, He doesn t continue to hold it over our heads. God wants to forgive us.
He wants to do something new in our lives. We have to have a change of heart,
a change of mind, and a change of direction for the forgiveness God offers to
change our lives.
A heart in need of change can only come from a person who has surrendered.
We have to destroy our strong will and allow God to rule in our hearts. We have
to be moved by our sins and not allow ourselves to become callous concerning
the evil in our hearts.
Preciousone, take time to examine your live and your heart and pray the same
prayer David prayed; Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast
spirit within me...
Prayer
For The Day
Heavenly Father, I invite
You now to come into my
life afresh. I surrender
my heart, soul and body
to you. Wash me, purify
me and remove every
stain from me. Change
my heart, change my
mind and change my
direction. Create in me a
clean heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit
within me. In the mighty
name of Jesus. Amen!
Today's Scripture
“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”
Philippians 2:5
KEEPING A CHRIST LIKE ATTITUDE
There is nothing as powerful as good and positive attitude and it dictates our
response to the present and determines the quality of our future. The power in
positive attitude for the believer is rooted in what we think about God and His
word. With a positive attitude you see the bright side of life, become optimistic,
and expect the best to happen.
To live differently, we must think differently. King Solomon said in Proverbs
23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." You will eventually become what you
think. If you allow yourself to think negative worried, fearful thoughts, then you
will become a negative, worried, fearful person. You cannot think defeat and
expect victory. Victory and Defeat begins in the mind. You can't think poverty,
and expect wealth. The way you choose to respond is a re ection of your
thoughts. By changing your thoughts, you also change your attitude and your
life.
Find out who you are according to the Word. Don t listen to what the Negative
people says; you de ne yourself by what God says about you. That means you
are who God says that you are, you can have what God says you can have, you can
do what God says you can do. When you are in Christ, there is no limit to the
good things that are in you. A positive attitude leads to happiness and success
and can change your whole life. It is certainly a state of mind that is well worth
developing.
Be patient, in the midst of trials, Jesus was patient. Learn to endure suffering
and be hopeful for in the midst of suffering, He was hopeful. In the midst of
blessing, He was humble. Even in the midst of ridicule, abuse, and hostility, He
made no threats . . . and did not retaliate. Instead He entrusted Himself to Him
who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23). When Paul tells us that our attitude should be
the same as that of Christ Jesus, he is telling us; Don't be sel sh; don't try to
impress others. Be humble, don't look out only for your own interests, but take
an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Prayer
For The Day
Father God, today I give
myself back to you and
ask that you will work on
every area of my life.
Help me be an example
of Christ, having the
same attitude that Christ
have. Take away every
sel sh attitude out of me
and direct me on the path
of righteousness. Cloth
me with the spirit of
humility and respect.
That in my dealing with
people they will see
Christ through me. In the
mighty name of Jesus.
Amen!
February 26
Today's Scripture
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and
thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds
anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in
Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
DON'T WORRY JUST TRUST!
The world says, Don t worry, be happy. Jesus says, Don t worry, just trust.
The Lord wants us to pray instead of worrying, and we are supposed to lay our
anxieties upon Him, and when we do, we are supposed to leave them there
with Him, too. We must learn how to pray instead of worry. We pray and hand
Him all our worries. Let God handle them for us. You see, God wants your
problems. He wants you to lay your worries on His lap.
Many of us do go to God and tell Him all about our worries, don t we? But that is
all we do. We don t leave them with Him. When we get through praying, we
reach over and take them back, then spend the rest of the day worrying. When
we go to pray, we must learn to leave our worries with Him.
By worrying we actually are calling God a liar. We are saying to God, I know you
can keep the sun in orbit. I know that you can sustain all life on earth. I know
that you can answer prayers all over the world at once. I know that you have
always been in control in the past...but I don t believe you can take care of the
problem I m going through now. Prov.3:5-6 says; Trust the Lord with all your
heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will make your paths straight .
You are more valuable than any other creatures, Jesus says; Look at the birds.
They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father
feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to Him than they are? Sure you
more valuable to God.
With God, there is no reason to worry. Without God, there is every reason in
the world to worry.
Prayer
For The Day
Father, thank You for
Your goodness and
faithfulness in my life. I
choose to trust you today
and always and will no
longer lean on my own
understanding. I cast all
my worries on You. Take
away every spirit of doubt
and worry from my
heart. I choose to believe
that You have a good plan
and will bring me to a
ourishing nish in the
mighty name of Jesus.
Amen!
Today's Scripture
“You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property.
You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!”
Job 1:10
A HEDGE OF PROTECTION
Once you are in Christ you have Gods Hedge around you. That does not mean
problems or adversaries won t arise? There will be more than you can imagine but you
won t be going through it all alone. The presence of God will never leave you nor
forsake you. Gods hedge of protection around His children is part of Gods promise.
This hedge can only be removed by Gods permission.
Job had to face all kinds of adversity and tough times. But those dif culties were not a
surprise to God. Satan's attacks against Job didn't catch God off guard. The Scripture
says the enemy had to ask permission before he could touch Job. He couldn't bring one
thing against him unless God allowed him to act.
It would be nice to think God builds a hedge of protection around everyone, but the
truth is, He is looking for people who have surrendered their lives to Him to become
His child. Do you want to have a divine hedge in your life? Then your goal should be to
become a child of God. God provides a hedge of protection for those who honour Him.
He has a protection plan for each of His children. Plans that does not expire. They are
full coverage protection plans and are in enforcement 24/7 in all the 365 days a year.
Psalm 91:5 says; He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His
wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Your af ictions many be
many but don't forget there is a protection plan for that one too in Psalm 34:19 Many
are the af ictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him/her out of them all.
When we face problems, there is a real peace when we understand God is in complete
control, not just of my circumstances, but God is in control of my enemies. That
means there is no person that can keep you down, no sickness too great, no trouble or
calamity that can keep you from ultimately living in victory. God always cause us to
triumph. He had the solution before we ever had the problem. God had a way out
before we even encountered the dif culty. He has it all arranged. I may not
understand the theology of it all. But the bottom line is this; God is still on the throne,
and He has promised that if we will stay in faith, no weapon formed against us is ever
going to prosper.
Prayer
For The Day
Father, thank You for
Your many promises. I
choose today to accept
Your truth which sets me
free. I declare by faith
that no weapon formed
against me shall ever
prosper in Jesus name.
Amen.
Today's Scripture
“If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you,
because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.”
John 15:19
YOU ARE CHOSEN
God doesn t choose us because we t into a box. He doesn t place us into
groups based on our intelligence. He chooses us because He loves us. Even
before we were born, God chose us and knew that we would be where we are
right now.
The prophet Jeremiah writes: The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you
apart.
Being chosen for a special role or task feels good. Being part of something that
is greater and bigger than yourself makes you feel wanted, needed and
accepted. God chose you to be His child, and share in the blessings of His
family. You have been chosen out of the world, so you don t have to live by the
words expectations or standards any more.
You don t have to drive a certain car or live in a certain neighborhood to be
accepted, instead you are accepted by God just the way you are. You are special
because you have been personally and individually chosen by God to be His
representative and witness in this world. God is working His purposes in you.
He has given you gi s, talents, and abilities to ful ll you destiny. If you ve
experienced rejection in your past, know that you are important and needed
right where you are. So go out and live like a chosen child of God today!!
Because of Jesus, there is greatness on the inside of you. As you study and
meditate on the Word of God, may the Lord open your eyes to enable you
realize your true potential. May He help you to discover who you really are so
you can live the good life He has called you to!
Crossover into the month of March with con dence, knowing that the Lord
will continue to bless you and protect you. May He smile on you and be
gracious to you. And May He show you His favor. I DECLARE; THE MONTH OF
MARCH IS YOUR MONTH OF PRAISE!!
Prayer For The Day
Father God, thank You
for choosing me. Thank
You for equipping me.
Help me to see myself
the way You see me.
Show me Your ways
that I may walk with You
in confidence and trust
all the days of my life in
