For Stacy Beaulieu-Fawcett life is about giving your<br />

best at all times. That means fighting for justice,<br />

helping those in need and giving to charities that<br />

depend on the kindness of strangers.<br />

She’s done this as a citizen of Delray<br />

Beach and as a marital and family lawyer<br />

with a thriving practice in Pineapple Grove<br />

and North Palm Beach.<br />

As the daughter an insurance underwriter<br />

(her mom) and an electrical contractor (her<br />

dad) Beaulieu-Fawcett learned the meaning<br />

of hard work. From her days working with a<br />

brilliant family law judge (Amy Karan) she<br />

learned the intricacies and monumental elements<br />

of family law.<br />

“My passion started when I saw what<br />

Amy did. She made a difference in people’s<br />

lives and I wanted to do that as well.” said<br />

Beaulieu-Fawcett, who is one of the few<br />

board certified marital and family lawyers<br />

in Florida and has one of the largest practices<br />

of its kind in Palm Beach County.<br />

So that’s what she did.<br />

She built a professional all- encompassing<br />

law practice that eclipses most others<br />

in this area. The firm now has six lawyers<br />

and a total of 15 employees. They handle<br />

cases that range from divorce to adoption,<br />

step-parent adoption, divorce appeals and<br />

everything in between.<br />

It’s not only a labor of love but a passion<br />

that Beaulieu-Fawcett has honed for the past<br />

12 years. “In life and in business I’ve always<br />

felt that it’s important to focus on helping others.<br />

It’s not about getting, it’s about giving.”<br />

When it comes to giving she tries to be on<br />

both sides of this altruistic coin. She helps<br />

couples form families by way of legal adoption,<br />

she counsels and guides those in the throes of<br />

ugly divorces and child custody battles, and is<br />

a beacon of light for those left in the dark.<br />

“I have personally experienced divorce<br />

and the fear of the unknown. I was the<br />

mother of a six-month-old at the time. When<br />

someone comes to me I really understand<br />

what they’re going through. I know they’re<br />

scared and I give them hope and that helps<br />

them to feel at peace.”<br />

Sometimes, according to Beaulieu-Fawcett,<br />

the person getting divorced is conflicted<br />

about whether to stay or leave a marriage.<br />

And Beaulieu-Fawcett admits this can be a<br />

very scary time for people. But, in the end<br />

she stresses it’s best to make sure everyone’s<br />

safety is of prime importance. “There are a<br />

lot of substance abuse cases and it’s rewarding<br />

to protect the client. There also needs to<br />

be a safety plan in place for the children. It’s a<br />
