certified to AS/NZS 1716 where applicable.<br />
MAXISAFE ADVANTAGES<br />
<strong>Maxisafe</strong>’s respirators are designed with a unique<br />
and highly adapted pre-shaped nose area<br />
removing the need for an adjustable nose-bridge.<br />
This design has proved to be closer fitting and<br />
more comfortable ensuring a secure seal during<br />
long periods of use.<br />
AIRBORNE HAZARDS<br />
DUSTS are airborne solid particles with variable<br />
dimensions, which are generated during crushing<br />
process of organic and inorganic solid substances<br />
e.g. drilling, sawing and sandblasting.<br />
MISTS are tiny liquid droplets that are formed<br />
from liquid materials by atomization and<br />
condensation processes such as spray painting.<br />
FUMES are particles forming an airborne<br />
suspension, usually caused by the heating of a<br />
solid to such an extent that it vapourises and<br />
condenses into extremely fine particles. They are<br />
generally generated during combustion, fusion or<br />
welding processes and may be termed a thermally<br />
generated particulate.<br />
VAPOUR A gaseous state formed by evaporation<br />
from substances that are solid or liquid at room<br />
temperature (petrol, methylated spirits).<br />
GAS Air-like substance at room temperature such<br />
