Would you like your child to “Journey Off the Map”
this summer? Normally, the answer would be a
resounding “NO!”, but when you are discussing
going deeper with the Lord, you would certainly
agree that the answer has to be “Yes!” The scripture
passage of the LifeWay theme is Isaiah 30:21,
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your
ears will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is
the way, walk in it.” This Bible verse is a truth every
child can understand. Children take directions from
adults all the time; this summer they can learn to
listen to the guiding voice of God!

Vacation Bible School • June 8-12
Our exciting missions portion for this year’s Vacation
Bible School will be led by Lindsay Hughes. She
and her husband, Corey, have recently surrendered
to missions and will join an organization named
Starvepoverty out of New Jersey. They will serve
the small island of Exuma in the Bahamas. Lindsay
and Corey will be organizing and leading teams
into the island to provide clothing and food, build
homes, and provide other basic needs of the
islanders. This island is so small it doesn’t have a
hospital so there are many needs to be met. There
are not many jobs on this island, so most of the
people live in extreme poverty.
The Hughes will work with a church called Relevant
Kingdom. This church was chosen because it
believes that a church should serve the community
and bring people to Jesus Christ as Savior and
Lord. Teams going to Exuma will train youth and
children’s workers and workers in worship arts.
During our Vacation Bible School children will
participate in a “Backpack Drive.” Backpacks and
school supplies will be gathered for the children
on the island of Exuma. Our children will get to be
missionaries too!
