The food you serve, the cake you display, and the desserts your guests will
enjoy can all contribute to your overall theme and color scheme. Get creative
with your caterer or venue staff when you are planning for these elements.
What fun ways can you incorporate the food into your guest experience and
the feeling you are trying to convey to your guests throughout your entire
wedding? Even the appetizers you serve during cocktail hour can play a
supporting decor role in the event. There are so many options out there in
the way of food, cakes, and desserts and all of those options are just one
more way you can contribute to your theme!
And don't forget presentation; if you are having a buffet, don't forget to add
some decor details to service tables. Your cake and desserts can be displayed
in and on some spectacular dishes, cake stands, and furniture pieces. These
areas can all benefit from some small decor and floral accents too!

Okay so sometimes, this is just an absolute no-brainer. Quite often, your
venue will offer both tables and chairs as part of the package deal but
sometimes they don't. Sometimes what they have to offer is just not right for
your theme, guest experience, or the overall vibe you are trying to create.
Trust us, there are some pretty ugly chairs out there and linens over standard
tables can only do so much. And again, the standard look may be in total
contrast to your vision.

Now we know we're pretty biased but don't ever underestimate the value of
a great big rustic farm table or the fabulous and laid-back look that
mismatched vintage tables and chairs can create. We've said it before and
we'll say it again, no one will ever remember your tables and chairs unless
they are absolutely amazing!
