COLOR ME WED
Color, it's one of the first decor elements that you will decide on and just like the
theme, it will act as a common thread throughout your wedding. Color is instantly
recognizable and one of the first things that your guests will associate to your event.
The options for color are pretty infinite and for that reason may be a bit
overwhelming when trying to narrow it down. Unless of course you have a
signature color or favorite combination of colors that you just knew immediately you
would be using. Even if you have a firm grip on your favorite colors, there are still
additional considerations such as the time of year and flower availability.
And you'll want to be aware of a color's impact on the mood and atmosphere as
well as your venue space. Consider the following color associations:
Red; excitement, passion, drama, fire
Orange; warmth, richness, optimism, fun (Broncos!)
Yellow; happy, joyful, hope, energy, positivity
Blue; wisdom, trust, loyalty, coolness (as in temperature)
Green; growth, renewal, nature, youthful, fulfillment, happiness
Violet/Purple; wealth, royalty, luxury, sophistication
White; crisp, clean, cool, goodness, faith, purity
Black; mystery, formality, sophistication, drama
You'll first want to decide on a primary color for your scheme and then
choose a good base (neutral) color and at least 1 accent color for balance.
And of course complementary colors are a must!
Keep in mind that you can use certain colors to make spaces feel smaller,
larger, cooler, or warmer! Color is an amazing tool at your disposal for
creating just the right impact on your entire day!
