Candice McCall McKay and Brian Allen McCormick, were
united in marriage at half past six o’clock in the evening on June
28, 2014 at the Dunleith Historic Inn in Natchez, Mississippi.
Rev. Brad Randall officiated the double-ring ceremony. Nuptial
music was provided by pianist Richard Butler.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott McKay of
Brandon. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Patrick of Florence and the late Emmett Tew of Pearl and the
late Mr. and Mrs. Al Joseph McKay of Brandon.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al McCormick of
Davidsonville, Maryland. He is the grandson of Mrs. Homer
Lehman and the late Mr. Homer Lehman of Severna Park,
Maryland and Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCormick of Cookeville,
Tennessee.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant hand-crafted
gown of sheet lace and tulle by Allure, featuring a romantic
strapless sweetheart neckline and a fitted
bodice that was accented with a Swarovski
crystal natural waistline. The softly
gathered skirt is finished with lace detail
at the hem and throughout the chapel
length train. The bride carried a
handmade bouquet of white and pink
garden roses and peonies wrapped in
lace by Brenda Zerby.
Attending the bride as maid of
honor was her sister, Ashley McKay.
Bridesmaids were Kristen Degelman,
Brittany Dilmore, Shawanda McNeil, Taylor Ponder, Brooke
DePoyster and Valeri Davis.
Serving as best man was brother of the groom, Brad McCormick.
Groomsmen were Shawn Diehl, David Gilbert, Kyle Hunt, Kevin
McKay, Chad Howard and Brent Hudson.
Serving as flower girls were Madison McCormick, Gabriella
McCormick and Elena DePoyster. Ring bearers were Gabe
DePoyster and Gavin DePoyster. Program attendants were
Will Weems and Carson Weems.
Following the ceremony, the reception took place inside the
historic antebellum home and brick courtyard. The bride and
groom shared their first dance to “Right Where I Wanna Be”,
sung by Rev. Brad Randall. A canopy of bistro lights covered the
courtyard behind the main house where guests danced to music
provided by DJ Old School. Memories of the ceremony and
reception were captured by photographer Greg Britt, and
videographer Wesley Harris. Adding to the
excitement and fun, guests enjoyed a photo
booth by Lets Booth It.
A beautiful bridesmaid luncheon was held
on the Saturday before the wedding at the
home of Mrs. Nancy Bradshaw in Brandon,
great aunt of the bride.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s
parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner for
the wedding party, family, and friends in the
main house of the Dunleith Plantation.
Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the
couple resides in Brandon, Mississippi.
