Kathleen Doherty
Kathleen Doherty (nee
Broda), 60, of Frankfort and
formerly Evergreen Park
died Feb. 1. Doherty was
an early childhood educator
and a member of the Roman
Catholic Church. She is survived
by her husband James
M. Doherty; her children
Katherine R. Doherty, Elizabeth
A, (Matthew) Kurnat,
James P. “Jimmy” Doherty
and Michael J. Doherty; her
grandchildren Ryan and Daniel
Kurnat; her siblings Janice
(James) Keane, Andrew
(Karen Pierson) Broda and
Mary T. Helinski; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
many friends. Visitation was
held Feb. 4 at the Kurtz Memorial
Chapel in Frankfort,
and services were held Feb. 6
at St. Jude Catholic Church.
Agnes Houdek
Agnes Houdek (nee Vito),
90, of Frankfort died Feb. 3.
She is survived by her children
Debra Hansen, Donna
Marzano, Linda (late Ken)
Miner, Sandee Vermaas,
Robert (Pam) Putman and
John (Dee) Houdek; and her
grandchildren. Services were
private.
Terri Rossi
Terri Rossi, 63, of Frankfort
died Feb. 4. Rossi was
a longtime member of the
Lincoln-Way community
and an honorary captain of
the Lincoln-Way East High
School football team. Rossi
is survived by her husband,
Raymond “Ray” Rossi; her
children, Amanda (Michael)
Marshall, Brandon (Kristin)
Rossi, Carmen Rossi, Drake
Rossi; her siblings, Sharon
(Dave) Pavletich, Floyd (Patti)
Wilson, Scott (Jane) Wilson;
and her grandchildren,
Brock Marshall, Chase Marshall,
Gianna Marshall, Gage
Marshall, Miabella Marshall,
Madeline Rossi and Tyler
Rossi. Visitation was held
Feb. 10 at the Kurtz Memorial
Chapel in Frankfort, and services
were held at St. Anthony
Catholic Church in Frankfort.
Charles Eaheart
Charles “Chuck” Eaheart,
73, died Feb. 6. He was a
“jack of all trades” who retired
from Electro Motive Division
after 36 years and collected
locomotives that he helped
build throughout the years.
He enjoyed attending school
functions for his grandchildren,
in addition to spending
time outdoors, traveling,
watching golf, comedy and
western movies and the Chicago
Cubs. He is survived by
his wife of more than 52 years
Margaret (nee Goga); his
daughter Tricia (Daryl) Gunter;
his sons Chuck Jr. (Kim),
Steve (Dana) and Keith (Sarah);
his grandchildren Kelsey,
Kyle, Taylor, Ryleigh and
Aidan; and his brothers Harry
(Theresa) and John (Ellyn).
Visitation was held Feb. 9-10
at the Gerardi Funeral Home
until services at St. Stephen
Deacon and Martyr in Tinley
Park. In lieu of flowers, donations
to the family for a cancer
charity of their choice would
be appreciated.
Dolores Surma-Petralia
Dolores “Dee Dee” Surma-Petralia
(nee Maher),
84, of Frankfort, died Feb. 7.
She is survived by her husband
Bobby Petralia, children
Gerry (Marilu) Surma,
Cathy (Joseph CPD) Tyrcha,
Sheryl (Charles) Cronin,
Louise (Tom) Tabisz,
John (Dawn) Surma,Kathi
(Chuck) Livingston, Debbie

and 29 great-grandchildren.

at Kurtz Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service was held at
St. Jude Catholic Church. Internment
was private.
